Are people still using this excuse? Our offense has sucked for years. The staff isn't holding plays back.

Come on guys. The same Herbie said yesterday on Feinbaum that we run a verrrry conservative offense and that we win with defense and special teams. He was and is right. That doesn't mean we don't win, we just don't win by offensive production alone. This has clearly been the case for three years.

I want our offense to pick it up also. But don't pretend that we run a high scoring offense because we don't and haven't.

Obviously, but at this point the offense has to prove itself or the negativity surrounding it from the media won't stop.

I don't think they care about having a great offense in order to "prove itself" to the media.

Game 1: TWO (2) RB's had right at 100 yds and 3 TDs. QB had 100 yds (w/ several drops) and a TD and no INTs

Game 2: QBs were 17 of 21 for 250ish YDs w/ 2 TDs and no INTs. The RBs scored 5 GAWDDAMN TDs.

LSU has scored 40 points or more in 5 of last 6 games (maybe 6 of last 7 now?)

If YOU want to hold onto the "offense sucks" screed. Have at it. I'm just gonna cheer like hell for those guys and enjoy these victories!!!!

so putting up 40 on oregon doesn't count? Take away the fumble return for a TD. 33 is still good on the #3 team.

33 is still good

33 is great, but less than a hundred yards of passing offense and 273 total offense is not great. It's actually quite horrible. FWIW, Nevada put up over 500 yards of offense on Oregon. The passing attack needs to step it up or this year will end up almost identical to last.

JEEBUS!!!

When you average STARTING on the Oregon side of the field, there aren't a lot of yards for the Offense to GET!!!

Sheeesh!!

"Hey ...we just got the ball on the opponent 20 and scored in one play / 20 yd drive"

"Yeah? Well, you fricks only have 20 yards of OFFENSE!!!"

playing great D and great SPteams, put our offense in position to score and IDK bout you but i've seen our Offense put the ball in the EZ this year so far which the past 2-3 years has been tough to do...

Let me break down the Oregon game to help you be able to process this
LSU had 14 possessions and ran 71 plays for 273 yards. That is 19.5 yards per drive, or 3.84 per play.
4 of those drives were 3 and out
6 of those drives resulted in punts
Bottom line, that isn't very good

I realize that, and trust me I was just as happy as you were. I am just pointing out that the offense living off the defense and special teams will eventually lead to losses. They need to step it up, and it begins tonight

But Utah didn't win did they? Stop hating douche. When you keep getting good field position you won't get those big numbers on O. Did you really just compare our offense to Utah?

Not to run to his rescue, but what was stupid about it? Or were you just preemptively throwing that out there to cover your arse because the point you're trying to make really sucks?
