Being pissed with losing and being frustrated or disappointed with losing are two very different things in my mind. Losing sucks, but at the end of the day, there is no way that a fan of the team can control the outcome of the game and therefore no reason to take the end result so heavily..

A win is a win, a loss is a loss, one sucks more than the other, but either day, the world doesn't stop because your team lost.

so basically it's ok to be elated and feel awesome when your team wins a NC but not ok to get extremely pissed when your team rolls over and dies. no, it's not the end of the world, but you can't have it both ways imo

You're placing your own interpretation on my words. I never said that a National Championship should a significant affect on a person's overall emotional well-being either, did I?

For me, the Saints' Superbowl hangover lasted until Monday morning. Like I said, the world doesn't stop for football. When it does, then you can react however the hell you want to a game. Until then, it's a game and there are more important things for fans to concern themselves with once it's over.

I can have it both ways ... I'm elated when LSU wins, but when the Tigers lose, oh well ... it's a game played by 18-22 year olds. My life doesn't revolve around the W-L record of the Tigers.

i agree with you. some people are content with underachieving. and they want to bash people who are realistic about the state of LSU sports because it is the hip thing to do on the rant, and they think it makes them a badass when really they are pompous douches who think they are better fans and support the team more

You are completely deluding yourself if you think supporting the Tigers is the hip thing to do around here. It's actually a place that fandom comes to die.

I actually hate the majority of posters on here.

I take that back. I hate the posters that seems to talk too much and a majority of those are retards.

There is a fine line between supporting the team and hoping they win and being realistic/upset about how terrible they have been performing. Especially when there is no leadership and they all look dead out there.

So because we don't flip our shite and bash the coach and team we're "content with underachieving"? It's called having your priorities in order.

you don't read the rant much do you? Because bashing or, as you like to call it, "being realistic" is the definitely the more popular thing to do on the rant.

trust me...nothing about posting on a message board makes me feel like a badass. You obviously can't handle it when people disagree with you.
