That's still very painful to look at.

This team could easily go 8-5 again. I don't see that happening, but it's very possible.

If we go 8-5, Miles is on very hot seat. Don't see it happening though.

Miles should be on the hot seat as it is.

9-3 would be an excellent season

It certainly wouldn't be excellent. I'm not even sure it would be successful. Successful means that you met and exceeded expectations, not worst-case scenario(sure, we could go 8-4 or 7-5, but I think most people think we'll at least go 9-3). 9-3 certainly wouldn't be unsuccessful either, though. Just average.

If this team goes 9-3 the season will not be a success in my book. I am thinking 11-1 with 10-2 worst case scenario....we have too much experience, talent and coaching for 9-3.

F off we are going undefeated

Nothing wrong w/ being positive....but 9 wins would be a good year.

Florida, Alabama and Ole Miss are pretty damn good too.......+ Arkansas will be better.

9-3 is a good year in my opinion...idk about next years schedule being any easier though with unc and wv in ooc and florida, auburn, and arky on the road...and as far as les on the hot seat that is a very ignorant statement...man who wins a nc and has .792 winning percentage??

Being "realistic" does not mean that you have to be pessimistic about the season.

If we assume that we are better than 8 of the teams that we play and we should win all of those, that leaves the 4 big ones as competition games.

Everyone says "Alabama and Ole Miss are on the road". Like that means those games are guaranteed losses. But look at the series between LSU and those two schools and you will see that neither of them hold a home-field advantage over LSU. In fact, it is quite the opposite with respect to Alabama. Therefore, let's only consider who has the better team when LSU plays them, not where the game takes place. BECAUSE the location of the game has a negligible effect on the outcome, as history has told us.

I say we're better than both Alabama and Ole Miss, and that we will win those two games.

Which leaves us with a 10-2 record if we lose to both Georgia and Florida. But I believe that we can win one, if not both those games.

I say we'll be at least 11-1 and playing Florida again in Atlanta.

Arkansas and Auburn are both possible losses too

LSU/Arkansas and LSU/Auburn are always close games.

More on location of games...

Since Les Miles has been LSU's coach, we are
11-5 in SEC road games
11-5 in SEC home games

Hmmm.

We play five teams we lost to last year. Three of them are now on the road.
I don't see how you can be shocked at a three loss season.

9-3 is very realistic.

FL -- prolly a loss

AL/OM/UGA -- games could go either way and could be a loss 50/50

ARK/AU --- would be shocked if we lost to these but you never know

MSU/UW/TUL/VANDY -- losses here will force the removal of all shoestrings and other sharp objects away from anyone on this board

Correct. It will be "par."

I consider 9-3 to be 'par' as well ... satisfactory, meets expectations, etc.

Since you are obviously oh so full of wisdom, would you mind elaborating on your stance? Please go into detail, any moron can type a quick one liner.

I hope you are right. I also hope that you won't jump ship if they lose 2-3 games.
