There is no such thing as a dual threat qb when Perkins plays the star!

He didnt spy him. He had to cover slot wr all game since we had no cbs. Gosh the cb position is night and day.

One of the worst games I've ever seen by Perkins. He looked scared of Milroe. Milroe owned him all game.

Depends on what kind of dual threat QB it is. A spy doesn't help much against a guy that is running designed QB runs.

Perkins isn't great as a ILB. But I think the biggest difference LSU has now, compared to 2023 and 2024, is the personnel around him. Baker has less concern with leaving the DBs on an island and trusting his safeties. That can free up Perkins. Plus, there is more trust in the interior DL to keep the OL from getting to the second level.

Perkins looked more like the 2022 version vs. Clemson. But that's because I think for the first time since 2022 the DC was ok blitzing Perkins at will because he was confident the defensive backs could hold up without help or playing a zone.

Prob was The least talented backend in the history of the program. Steeples’s recruiting was atrocious

That scheme & particular game plan under Matt House was absolute dog shite.

So you’re posting pictures from 2 of the maybe 5 times Perkins was on Milroe all game. Those both resulted in a sack.

So, to repeat, with Perkins at spy, dual threat quarterbacks are no longer dual threat quarterbacks.

what on earth are you talking about? That was 100% House and the scheme. The few times Perkins could make a play on Milroe, he did.

No way he weighed 240lbs. He weighed 220lbs at the senior bowl. Perk didn't look interested in that game.

Go watch that game again. Terrible game by Perk. This season Perk has been the star we thought he would be.

Perk was reduced to edge rusher and nickel in that game. He had 2 missed tackles on RBs and a coverage bust. When actually pursuing Milroe, Perkins had 2 sacks, one of which was unfortunately a horse collar (which was not neccessary at all).

LSU put a spy on Milroe like twice. He did not dominate Perkins.

You are correct in saying Star is where he needs to be. I've been on that train since midway through the '23 season.

Again, he didnt spy him, the entire game. There were a few plays he did, which is why we were all pissed bc they worked. But we had no one in the secondary to play, so he was covering slot guys and tes in coverage 2/3 the game
