Overall, the mercenary era of CFB had diminished the quality of play and the pride players take in their program, but it's been particularly noticeable at LSU.
Small wonder. LSU is a program that was always first built on pride and team loyalty.

These guys are guys LSU used to have as Depth pieces...not 1 or 2nd teamers..now they are starters...thats the problem...average talent vs top talent with little motivation or coaching results in 42-13type games...

These boys need to have more pride in themselves and the program than what they showed last night.

Their head coach is a joke and shows zero competitive nature, zero tenacity, zero swagger, and when he loses he acts like it’s just another day in the office.

If I play for LSU I have completely lost respect for my head ball coach, and that is a TERRIBLE position to be in.

and as I am into my 50’s, this helps me slowly adjust to not caring as much anymore. The minor league nfl has changed the dynamics. It’s a cash grab. It’s is literally a byproduct of Gen Z. “Gimme what I want right now. I deserve it. I’m entitled. I expect instant gratification with no delay. Also, when times get tough and I’m not validated and my ego not placated, I’m leaving for something better.”
Seems like 2019 was the zenith and beginning of “the end” for lsu fans. They could’ve ended college football after that year.

Won't argue that, but also y'all must consider the new rules of football are literally taking TDs and catches from us every game that would NEVER have been addressed in years prior. It like they've determined to analyze our success like it's a science. Across the board, but we get a lot of it.

I think it's more that to care takes time over a long haul. Little things matter more to us I think. We don't want mercenaries we want loyalty and would rather lose with our guys than win with theirs. Case in point. Omar Bradley. They care, but in a healthier way.

Karma had its day. We will fight fight fight and never surrender. I saw more pride on that field and in that stadium against Ole Miss this season then I've seen in years. Been following for decades.

Nuss absolutely kills and I mean just KILLS the team having any chance.

While I'm not defending the interceptions, surely you realize that he is pretty much our entire offense at this point. Without him, we cannot move the ball consistently because we cannot run. Maybe if we had some semblance of a running game he wouldn't need to throw the ball 40+ times per game, thus cutting down on the possibility of throwing interceptions. Before you call the kid garbage, just remember that without him we cannot win.

It starts from the top. BK doesn’t know how to recruit and or develop goons. He thought he could which makes me feel for him a little bit

Kids are given scholarships based on performance matrix. 40 time, vertical leap, bench press, squat, etc. Doesn't mean you are a good football player, have any mind or character at all. Why so many end up being busts and some colleges with lower star power end up with good teams. Same thing in baseball.

Part of the problem is we have no one else...he can do what he wants with no fear of being benched.

in reality it can always be traced back to lack of talent

Greg Penn not being able to catch Jalen Milroe has nothing to do with heart.

No. It cannot always be traced back to lack of talent. If that were the case Vandy wouldn't have beaten Alabama this year. Just one example. There's no shame in losing to a talented Alabama team, but to lose in the manner LSU did shows a complete and utter lack of preparation, and that is on Kelly.
