I mean, they also beat Georgia, S. Carolina, Missouri, and Michigan. I mean, they had the most talented roster in the conference.
Talent does not alway = better.
They also have a chode for a QB who doesn’t look like he could even spell his own god damn name correctly.

He has a chance to be 28-11 and is being vilified.

You forgot to mention that LSU had the best offensive line in school history and forgot how to run block. Gonna get worse in 2025

True.
Matchups and in game action (turnovers / mistakes / dumb luck) also play a role. It’s why the transitive property doesn’t apply.
I mean, we beat Vandy and OU, they didn’t.
It really doesn’t make sense sometimes.

So anytime a group gets a “derangement syndrome” it’s warranted because the person they have the “derangement syndrome” over must “suck arse”? Is that what you are saying? Because I’m sure that’s never been your answer to another popular “derangement syndrome” meme.

My take is that they didn’t know how. With Jayden Daniels, only pass blocking was typically needed. Just my .02.

So if he's recruiting at a higher blue chip level than before then why are we not seeing it on the field? That's 3 years with a nice incoming 4th year class and we regressed in year 2 and 3.
The excuses seem to be running out to me.

One of the winningest coaches in history?

You were a DEI promotion, weren’t you? You sound like a “trans-woman.”

Because of his contract, condescending attitude with media/fans, and constantly putting his foot in his mouth.

I congratulate him on beating bama at home. That was his best win as coach by far. The Heisman was great for marketing, but was almost overshadowed by the "what if?" and having to fire the entire defensive staff 2 years into his tenure.

I would not count that first year. Recruiting isn’t a two week process.
As for year two, a lot of those guys played. Ditto year two.
Most guys make mistakes. It showed. As for this years class, we may have a couple of starters from that group (not the norm).

Then you're not counting Will Campbell, Emery Jones, and Harold Perkins towards the blue-chip talent he's brought in?

He isn’t. Some of us just acknowledge that the landscape has changed for one thing. Like I said, 10-2 will now be considered a great season. He’s got to show us something next year for sure. He’s doing well in recruiting, now he has to prove he can do something with those recruits. LSU was left a complete shite show before he took over.
Your days of year after year “championship runs” is over for every team. You can’t maintain a roster anymore for one team to be able to do that and that’s a good thing. College football has become rather boring as frick seeing who the hell Bama was going to play every year in the championship game because everyone wanted to play for Saban and he could lie to them about getting starting position and trap them on the team as highly ranked recruit “backup” players because they couldn’t leave without sitting out a year. THAT is why Saban retired. It wasn’t because of NIL. NIL has ALWAYS been a factor, it was just under the table. But the transfer portal? The transfer portal meant no more stockpiling blue chip players as backups.

As opposed to how Ed O would just throw players under the buss because he was just a glorified cheerleader on the sidelines.

Okay, by this logic then he should be doing a better job in his portal management. The portal exists to instantly fill gaps in your roster that need immediate talent/starters. The development aspect of HS recruits is fine and some will develop faster than others but you have the portal to fill your gaps. you're kinda proving my point on his lack of development and personnel management because he has poorly managed the portal with some very obvious exceptions like JD. Because he "doesn't want to get in bidding wars". How's that playing out on the field? If LSU is strapped for money(they're not) then I guess he should just retire because it's not going to get better? He has 10 million reasons not to so I understand why.

Noneof us are pleased with the direction LSU is right now. It was a shitty contract, about everything none of us are pleased with the direction LSU is right now. It was a shitty contract, but he’s not going away no matter how much anybody cries.
No one has yet been to be able to explain why Kelly is being held to a lower standard than any other coach of the last 20 years. He hasn't even won anything of substance at LSU to warrant being given extra slack like Saban, Les, and O.

The landscape historically changed in 2020-21 and the same grace wasn't given to O. That's the point. Why does Kelly get the benefit of the doubt? What has he proven?
If anything Kelly has it easier than ANY previous LSU coach. Saban gone, 12 playoff spots, wide open portal, NIL and revenue sharing in the open. You couldn't ask for a more direct path to win a championship.

Not something I saw. Honestly, with me watching every post game interview, I would totally disagree with your take. At Notre Dame, sure. At LSU, I didn’t see it.

It was. How many wins does LSU have at home in the last 40 years?
It really is nuts to see their success in Baton Rouge.
In my 40+ years of attending games, I have seen more wins in Tuscaloosa by LSU than I have in BR (season tickets since 1990).

That is 100% on BK.
However, he did make changes, and they were better defensively (and not just a little bit either).
Year two should show even more improvement.
If Nuss returns, and we pick up a handful of quality players in the transfer portal, I see LSU in the playoffs next year.
