See, a lot of you like to make this a contest. You prop up one coach at the expense of the other.

Neither one of these guys is bigger than LSU. Both have been a huge part of LSU success. That's all that needs to be said.

He's the best coach LSU has had. Saban is a close second.

Winner's attitude, players love him. He's from Louisiana

Until he completes an unblemished NC season, Dietzel is still the best. O can surpass him in January.

Not a pissing contest, but some on here were pissed "no chester" was fired and O was given the job, then even more pissed he was hired full time.

I was neutral. I didn't want Fisher or Herman, but as long as LSU kept Aranda, or if O wasn't the reason Aranda left, and hired a good O-coordinator I thought well let's see.

I do believe Orgeron was on a short leash plus he was fairly cheap hire, so why not.

Hell even Spears knew the program became stale as hell under the mad quitter. Talk to Spears about it, he said all weekend after the SECCG.

It is truly amazing to me how often this happens...... the can't misses are just that! The ones that everyone thinks are guarantee failures often succeed beyond expectations.

I was very anti Orgeron. So glad to have been completely wrong.

According to you, that's how Les was so successful. So you're saying you'd take Les again?

I was referring only to the coaching clusterfrick....not a daily occurrence with Les. Les was a lucky mofo a lot of the time. He made some bone headed decisions that worked out for him....so no....in a game in and game out situation...I wouldnt want to have to rely on blind luck.

That was a one time deal as I clearly said...that SW would not allow to happen again.

This fact has long been lost. Certainly in this thread and threads alike.

Nope.

People we're upset that Alleva didn't perform a real search and took the path of least resistance to fill the job.

I'm pretty sure I volunteered to come down to Baton Rouge one morning and shite in my hand outside of Aleva's office and throw it on his door.

I'm glad it worked out, but I don't see a lot of people saying they supported him all the way back then, much the opposite. Nobody liked the hire, I remember seeing some threads the day he was hired with ratios of 30 up votes and 900+ downvotes.

Proud to say I was all O day 1. I called all those bitching about the hire “haters” and the term took off with O supporters. I’m happy that everybody is behind the team currently and enjoying the amazing season we had...but I haven’t forgotten who the worst offenders were. They’ll turn on us again when things aren’t as rosy as they are now. It’s just the nature of bitches. Until then Geaux Tigers and we are all one big happy family.

I was doubter and believe or not the new offense isn't what sold me on coach O. It's how they play, the team is ready play with very few mental mistakes, that's a sign of good coaching.

There are some that are worried about next year, yeah, there is no way in hell they will be this productive, but CEO will have the players prepared to play.

some people will never accept him as coach....just like they didnt when Les was hired. they believe it was some whack coonass collusion or something. Unitas made some good points in his post justifying the hire.

If he runs the table, he should be considered as one of the best ever considering he had to do some major revamping (hiring the right guys) just to get our O out of the Stone Age.

Is this why you have bashed Coach Eaux relentlessly for 3 years? Because some have made it a contest between CLM and CEO?

But that is all that needs to be said. That's smart on your part. Good try at passing the buck.
