Florida receivers have championships in the toughest conference in America let's start there.

What does that have to do with anything? So do LSU's receivers Meanwhile legends like Jerry Rice, Sterling Sharpe, and Terrell Owens never won anything in college.

We are not talking about who has the most NFL success because then the obvious school would be Miami and possibly Ohio St. We are talking about which college gets the most production and accolades in from college WR.

What the GAYTRGRL dude is saying is that IN COLLEGE, Fla has the best.

He's saying it doesn't matter that they stir a pot of warm steaming mediocrity in the NFL. Much like all the Fla. QB's.

In a way, they're like USC East... not many NFL success stories over the last decade.

I don't think they have anybody besides Wes Chandler that can even come close to Carlos Carson, Dwayne Bowe, Eddie Kennison, and Eric Martin.

D. Byrd in a car accident BTW... I think that might have has something to do with him dropping to the 7th. Besides, it doesn't matter where you're drafted, just where you end up.

I get 10 for LSU, 6 for Florida, and 1 push. The stats in which there is "no comparison" is in touchdowns per season and per career, which almost all came underneath the offensive genius Spurrier's reign. The other production stats seem to favor LSU more.

that's some serious homework.

but it proves that if it wasn't for Spurriers innovative Fun n Gun, LSU would slaughter them in all stats.

Again, someone who hasn't read the thread. I said the exact same thing in the beginning. If you are talking about college receivers transitioning to the NFL I would take Miami or Ohio St.

Well then this thread is pointless.

1) The whole idea of a "position U" is that school puts players at that position INTO THE NFL. So talking about their college production COMPLETELY MISSES THE POINT.

2) The link you posted used this EXACT CRITERION....putting players INTO THE NFL!!!

3) he Flag-Bearer – Wes Chandler
The Ensemble – Cris Collinsworth, Nat Moore, Percy Harvin, Reidel Anthony, Jabar Gaffney, Ike Hilliard, Willie Jackson, Jacquez Green, Reche Caldwell, Darrell Jackson, Carlos Alvarez, Chris Doering, Ricky Nattiel, Jack Jackson, Travis Taylor, Travis McGriff, Taylor Jacobs, Derrick Gaffney, Chad Jackson and Ernie Mills

That list reads like a list of flops, 4th receivers, and journeymen. Seriously. There are only a couple of impressive names in there and one of them is Collingsworth (who everybody knows was a complete pussy who didn't want to go across the middle anyways).

I don't see a single name on that list who became a team's best or even second best WR.

4) Wendell Davis, Eddie Kennison, Dwayne Bowe...that pretty much trumps your entire list.

That is all.
