For the record, Hoover is about this much bigger than the Box: 5 feet to the foul poles, 20 feet to power alleys, and 0 feet to straightaway center. So it should play about like a home game.

To each his own, but I think you have it backwards. Bragging rights are better with SEC titles, as I run into fans of other SEC schools all the time, but hardly ever encounter fans of OOC schools. A natty is just icing after an SEC title.

I think the SEC tournament is big for those trying to get on track or heating back up; i.e. Crews, Pearson, Hurd, Dugas and so on.
Not the outcome of the games so much but the opportunity to sharpen mentally and physically.
