Michigan cannot do better than Miles and they won't....signed Florida and Nebraska.
You have no idea if either of those hires will be better. MacElwain is considered one of the best up and coming coaches in this country and has been a part of more NC titles than Miles. His resume is more impressive than Miles when he came here from OSU.

I don't find it weird at all. Miles is a highly successful HC who happens to be a Mich. grad and who has been approached before by Mich.
I do agree that at 61 its pretty unlikely he would want to start over again at a program which seems to have internal problems going on and has been on the ropes almost a decade.
It's never been confirmed that Michigan has ever offered the job to Miles. He isn't going anywhere and he's not getting offered the job. In all likelihood, Michigan has already got their man and just waiting for the right time to make the announcement.

in reality, he isnt being offered the job. Michigan recognizes they can do WAY WAY better.
Like Brady Hoke?
If they don't get Harbaugh, who can they realistically get that is "WAY WAY" better than Miles?
You are really fricking dumb.

the only reason it was never confirmed because the Michigan AD was too embarrassed to admit they got turned down by a "Michigan Man".
the Board of Supervisors said he was offered. i'll take their word for it.

Actually the reality is if Michigan thought Less would accept he would be offered.

Before coming to a loaded LSU team
What? Miles took over a 3 loss team and a program thay had won 10 games 4 times in over 40 years and the previous coach had all but given up on recruiting here.

Both times there were talks but nothing concrete.

Thank you for finally putting this waste of brain cells to bed.

im not saying he got an official offer...but if you think they didn't ask Miles about the job when the they flew down to Baton Rouge then you're just as naive as the Michigan fans

Of course they asked him about the job.

People on this board are so childish who cares if miles leaves or not he isn't that good anyway.

As they have shown since he's been at LSU. Dumbass!

Miles knows that he's in the perfect situation. And that will always breed complacency. I'm not denying that he's been a great coach for LSU, but there is also no denying that we are trending downwards.
Hopefully we can turn it around, but a more likely scenario is that we're still pointing at a decade old national championship as reason to keep our 4-4 SEC coach.

The toliver family talked with Miles and Les said hes not going anywhere
Now that these Miles to Michigan rumors are put to bed, let's get some recruits.

Les Miles is one of the "BEST" coaches in the country. Deal with it. I have read this board daily for many years without posting but can not sit back and be quiet anymore. This is the only fan base I have ever been around that is not happy win or lose. I remember the 70's, 80's. and 90's. we are considered a powerhouse now due to Louisiana boys and a great coaching staff. If Les is interested in going to Michigan, let's schedule them!

yeah, he's gonna tell the toliver family.

Miles was 28-21 before coming to a program with the money ,recruiting, and resources of LSU.
LSU made miles.
let me repeat that......
LSU MADE miles.
He was 28-21 at a school with up to him ZERO history.
4-7
8-5
9-4
7-5
That is OSU's record during Miles' tenure.
3-8
5-6
5-6
8-4
5-6
4-8
3-7
3-8
4-6
0-10
4-7
4-7
10-2
10-2
6-5
8-4
10-2
8-4
4-5
7-5
3-7
7-4
3-8
So you ave to go back into the early 80s or 70s to find a sniff of success at OSU. Miles comes in and wins right away. Yet LSU made Miles?
LSU all time win percentage is .648. Miles coming in was .571 not that far off LSU's all time.
Since Miles LSU is .786 Saban was .750 with the same resources. Since 1970 until Saban LSU was at .572. How in the hell you think LSU made Miles is an exercise in idiocy.
As much as it pains people to hear, LSU has not been an all time great program. Recent history shows greatness, but guess who has coached MOST of that greatness? Yeah, the guy you said was mediocre until he came. Somehow he magically comes onto the scene (following Saban who also had a hand) and LSU is this all-time power house coach maker?
Saban was here 5 years what he did was great, but he did not make this program a great one that in just 5 year can sustain itself.
I will just leave this here: GREATNESS
