the thing i missed most about Jimbo was

the up the middle screen pass to Bowe/Lafell. JLee may have a very strong arm but the dude is one of the worst qb i have ever seen throwing short passes. I cringe whenever we have a dumpoff or sideline pass. The adjustment by his receivers to the ball has killed any chances of them turning upfield for a quick gain.

IMO, Fisher cost LSU a chance at the 2006 national title! He sucks!

I disagree I think the 1st down calls in the Auburn game were being called from the sidelines in 2006 not the booth.

We had a thread about this yesterday (and probably every day). One guy missed Jimbo and thought Miles held him back. Everyone else agreed with you and I. Jiimbo<Crowton

Dont get me wrong, Crowton is much better than Jimbo. Its just those screen pass in the middle to the wide receivers have been money for us for so long.

So he was the one that fumbled on the goal line, didn't layout to block a punt, or commited the holding call that negated a touchdown at Florida?
I guess he also was responsible for the "Bunch" formation we used for most of the AU game. He'd never used it from 2000-04.
Miles was hell bent on running Hester that game.
LSU would have been better off with him calling the plays this year. Crowton didn't do a very good job this season.
