Issue is most if not all of the speakers are in the N endzone so in order to have them loud enough for the S endzone thry have to be ear splitting loud in the N.

Would have thought with what they spent in upgrades to the system a year or so ago they would have did a better job

It's been absurdly loud for at least a couple of years. I've been letting a family members use our NEZ seats this year because the sound system had gotten too much for me to tolerate

I didn't think it was too loud, but that's after the constant rave atmosphere I witnessed in Oxford. My ears were ringing for a few days after that.

It really depends where you sit. Some places it's not loud enough and I can barely hear the PA. NEZ it way too loud.

Blows my mind that they didn’t spread the speakers all the way around the stadium.

You cannot do that. The crosstalk would make it sound like 20 copies of a song were playing at slightly different times.

Yes. Speakers have been way too loud for a long time. It distracts from the football game including pre-game.

I think you're ignoring physics. Them putting the system on one side was intentional not an oversight. If you put speakers all around the stadium, there would be echos because sound takes a second to travel from one side of the stadium to the other. So you'd hear the music from the speakers closest to you then the echo of the speakers across the stadium. It wouldn't sound good.
