At the worst LSU will finish with 8 victories. They are going to win one that they are not supposed to win. They have Miami (whom I think is over rated), Auburn (again they are not as strong as they were last year), Georgia, and Alabama. The rest are all winnable. They are going to be okay this year. All the doom sayers can go to Hades.

Well what makes you more qualified to give an opinion? Everyone knows we’re going to have a monster defense. It’s the offense that gives pause to everyone who can look at it objectively. I think that given the huge question marks and given last year’s results, 23-25 is fair. We’ve been given the benefit of the doubt for many years in preseason rankings. Now we need to prove we belong with the big boys again

These doom sayers you speak of mostly are predicting 8 or 9 wins. The only difference between you and them/us is that we think LSU is better than being an 8 win team.

I thought Aranda might be hired away but he is making too much money. If he is hired as a head coach he will take a cut in pay because a Power 5 school is not going to hire him as a first time head coach.

Great defenses make great teams. That has been proven time and time again on all levels of football. LSU has a great defense.

How many great defenses have we had since 2011? How many of those teams were great? You still have to be able to score some points

I can agree with your reasoning but LSU is going to finish higher than 25th

I hope you’re right. I personally think we’ll be around 18-20. But anyway, do these experts actually know jack now that you’ve said you agree with my reasoning? There are indeed reasons people feel the way they do about the outlook for our team.

We can all agree we’ll have plenty of opportunities to prove them (and me) wrong.

LSU has had good defenses since 2011 and average to sub-par offenses but they have always finished with 8 or more wins. The offense this year just needs to be average not great. The offense also has to take care of the ball and not have turnovers. This formula has worked throughout the history of football.

They will not beat LSU 2 years in a row.

We’ve had several outstanding defenses since 2011.

LSU had very few linebackers when he took over now it is one of the deepest positions on the field. Not bad for a supposed buffoon

white, beckwith, riley, thornton, anthony, thompson, divinity, Alexander, Garnett, Rucker, patterson. Just a few of the linebackers on the roster before Ed took over.

Getting tired of this bullshite from the O nut suckers. He was handed one of the most talented rosters in the entire country. Stop making shite up to excuse the shitty losses.

The college football world does not respect O as a HC and they have zero reason to right now. When are you people going to realize that LSU will be looked down upon until O proves he can run a program?

What do you consider average?

An average offense would be rated around 50th in the nation. Couple that with a top 10 defense and you have a pretty good team.
