Again, no apparent issue with a judge ruling Chambliss eligible to play a 6th year.
If LSU’s lawyers are at all competent, they should rip this to shreds and shine the spotlight on all the other bullshite that schools are doing.
Alabama actually played an ex-NBA guy last year.

Exactly. Calling it “voluntary membership” does not give the SEC immunity from antitrust laws or court review. The NCAA used that same argument for years, and we saw how well it worked once its rules were challenged in federal court.
The most telling part is that the SEC keeps focusing on its authority to govern instead of addressing what caused this mess. The 2022 class made career decisions under one set of rules, and then the NCAA adopted 5 for 5 after those players had already entered drafts or signed professional contracts. They were denied the opportunity to make an informed choice under the new system.
That is the issue the SEC does not want to defend on the merits. Instead, it is trying to turn this into a First Amendment and conference governance case.
The SEC and Big Ten can establish reasonable eligibility rules, but they cannot assume those rules are automatically lawful just because schools joined voluntarily. If the rules are arbitrary, anticompetitive or unlawfully harm a specific group of athletes, they can still be challenged.
That is why this looks like an attempt to change the subject. The fairness and timing arguments favor the players, so the SEC would rather argue about its power than explain why the 2022 class was treated differently.

I'm still waiting for them to tell me what LSU has done to receive this much attention and nothing is said about any of the other schools.

Did LSU play or put the players in question on their roster? No. Did LSU say they would comply with any ruling even if it meant removing NFL players? Yes.
Did other schools play/roster players that went through rookie mini camp? I believe so, but they want LSU bc they can see where this is going and they don't want LSU to blow up and turn into another Bama.
