So, the 18-35 year olds in better shape and conditioning than 95% of the rest of the country pulled through? Great. How does their success equate to the rest of America’s population?

In case you haven’t noticed, your typical American doesn’t resemble your standard college or professional athlete.

The only people that are on team virus are democrats. There's almost no exception to this. It's a hoax. The people that died died of other things. One of the biggest lies in modern history

Can we please stop with this crap? I work in healthcare, I've treated pts with Covid. It's NOT a hoax, it's a super-powered cold that can and does kill a small percentage of those who get it. Having other issues makes it worse, but there are some people it hits a whole lot harder. It's killed people that wouldn't be bothered by a normal cold, or the flu.
We tracked this when it got loose in China in the end of 2019, and it's made it's way around the world. That was not a lie planted to undermine Trump, it was a damn virus that likely got out of the Chinese lab where they were fricking around with it.

I know it's frustrating, and we all want to get back to normal life. God knows I do.

But we don't need to sink to spreading false information. That doesn't help anyone, all it does is foster doubt and lack of trust.

I know the Dems are trying to take advantage of this, but that's not the same as them inventing it out of thin air.

Is it a real virus like 6000 other viruses in the world and the 18 other corona viruses? Sure probably. Hasn't killed anyone. It's deaths that have been moved to another column to scare you

Covid 19 death rate is now below the rate of pandemic. It's below the rate of epidemic. The doomsayers are devastated I am sure

If you're not intelligent enough to see that it all ties in then I can't help you. It's not a theory. It IS a conspiracy. Do some research that doesn't involve watching mainstream democrat news why don't you. Football is over for a long time. We're in the middle of a cultural revolution that's likely to lead to another civil war

Have you ever once seen any of the politicians or media people follow their own rules? They know the virus is a hoax everyone does regardless of what side they're on

This is so dumb. Intelligent organizations and businesses need to be looking at the stat that matters here.... hospitalizations and deaths. Which are ALL DOWN and FALLING as increased testing for younger folks yields more positive tests.

What I see, is an overabundance of caution.

Numbers are climbing again, as we open up. Expected, yes. So everyone is scaling back, we're now basically in Phase 1.5 instead of Phase 2 as initially stated.
Fwiw, the Advocate lists hospitalizations in state on their site, when Phase 2 started we were around 540. As of this moment, it's back to 1025.
It does hit a low percentage hard, but it does hit. I've had several coworkers catch it, most stayed home but a few had to be hospitalized, a couple have died. It's fricking real.

Nobody wants to commit to something a couple months away, when the present is changing day-to-day.

In the meantime, it's been fricking with our heads. For most, it's just a depressing time, which usually manifests as anger. Most of us are on edge and want to get back to normal.

I don't think we see football this fall, and I think the spring would be too messed up. We probably lose a full year to this bitch.

Here's the issue.... if we trickle through this virus with everything shut down then it will just take longer for it to spread. The bottom line is that it is not going away magically. It will run through the population regardless. Let's get this shite over with now.

What I suspect happens:

we see a gradual reopening of daily life the rest of this year, but things such as sports, plays, movie theaters will be the last to return.

edit- I see I have a downvote

I'll be the first to say, I WANT there to be football this fall. And tailgating. And movies. And concerts.
I just don't see that happening. It would be totally opposite everything JBE has done thus far, and now there's a lot of backtracking from previously forward-thinking governors.
I think we're going to see the rise in cases that everyone with sense predicted, and they're going to clench up and refuse to open anything more. They're all scared of the repercussions if they open up too much, and things get bad. It's going to be a lot easier (for them) to piecemeal it out a bit at a time.
