Winning the next four is almost a must for LSU. The only way they could advance to the SECT without a sweep is if Ole Miss loses the series against Arky and Bama loses out.

Auburn gets swept by Tenn

after this weekend i think there is no chance that happens. Imo we win tomorrow and win 2 of 3 from miss st we make a regional. We sweep miss st we could make it to hoover which would be phenomonal considering where we were 3 weeks ago.

I would like to make it into the sec tournament especially considering our performances under cpm there. However, if we don't wind up in the field of 64 i would be really upset that mahtook and possibly nola would end their careers not making the postseason. As a fan of our baseball program i want us to be playing baseball into june.

To all of you who haven't given up on this team you are true baseball fans.

IMO there's a better chance of LSU making a regional than making it to Hoover although I don't think a regional is possible at number 10 in the SEC.

Overall record and RPI determines regionals....not conference standings. 35 wins with an RPI in the 20's should get us a regional. But its definitely not guaranteed.

The good news is that UGA has tanked and still has Vandy. They have to finish 1game better than .500 record overall. That may where LSU gets in if they are not able to make it to Hoover.

I think Bama will tank it and LSU will win 2/3 next weekend to squeeze into Hoover.

We needed Auburn to pull it off today.

LSU basically has to sweep next week to make it.

LSU will win 2 out of 3, not make it to Hoover, and make it into the NCAA tournament fairly easily. I just know this for some reason.

I see the benefit in that.. being The NCAA likes taking 8 and that would be 8 with LSU minus Georgia.

But it could also make the conference look VERY top heavy to the selection committee.

They could say why should we take the 9th place team when Georgia can't finish above .500 and no one in the west can get over 15-15?

LSU even as a 3 seed in Hatteisburg is going to sell out the place...

That's my best guess now: LSU at home for memorial day, going to Hatteisburg as a 3 seed.

Southern Miss fans would be horrified and livid if that happened. I would love it though. They'd have no shot.

It depends who the #2 would be.

If they place a #2 who is fairly weak overall but with a stud ace, that would set up very well for Southern Miss even with LSU as a #3.

I'm really hoping we can make it into a regional. Any regional anywhere.

LSU can get to championship Sunday 2-0 with the two guys we have at the top of the rotation.

Just based on LSU's road SEC record this season what makes you so confident that LSU will sweep Mississippi State next weekend in Starkville?
