32-19. Just need to win tomorrow and then take 2/3 from State.

2/3 won't be enough.

Could be. I think you underestimate the choking potential of Bama & Ole Miss.

Ah sorry I wasn't talking about Hoover. I was referring to what would get us into a regional. There is no way in hell we go 36-20 and don't make one.

And now that I think about it, it is highly unlikely that Bama loses ALL four of its remaining conference games.

You know what is weird? If we somehow finished Missisippi State off and won the SEC tournament, we would be 40-20, RPI around 15ish, and likely host. Then again, if we go 2-2 the next four SEC games, we probably don't even make the postseason.

All the NCAA committee cares about is how LSU plays against the Privateers.

I've been looking forward to that matchup since February. What a great meeting between to historic rivals.

Bama is only in play if they lose to Auburn tomorrow...and then they would have to be swept next weekend.

It's possible but unlikely.

Shouldn't we want msu to sweep ole miss so we could have a better shot at at least securing the 9 spot (which will be ok esp if ga doesn't finish above .500 overall)?

I've never heard the phrase "securing the 9 spot" before.

At this point (with MSU winning the first 2) yes...because we can't catch MSU without a sweep whether they win or lose tonight.

On that note, I think I'll end my updating activities for the night.

Miss. State, 0
Ole Miss, 6 (bot 3)

The Bulldogs have a chance to take sole position of 1st place in the SEC West tonight with a win, but it looks like they are well on their way to blowing that opportunity.

Let's hope we don't have to worry about the 9 spot in years to come. This is BS.

I'm gonna update SEC West standings best I can

Miss St. 13-13 (Right now, they are down 7-1 to Ole Miss)
Auburn 13-13
Arkansas 13-13
Alabama 12-14
Ole Miss 11-15 (Right now, up 7-1 against MSU)
LSU 10-16

This might not be right, SEC hasn't updated standings and this is what I think they are based on today's results.

Best Scenario at this point

LSU = co-SEC West Champs

LSU wins tomorrow and sweeps State. Tigers finish 14-16, State finishes 13-17. Ole Miss wins 2 of 3 at Arky next weekend (who would need to lose tomorrow against USC, as well). Miss finishes 14-16, Arky finishes 14-16. Bama beats Auburn tomorrow and gets swept against USC. Bama finishes 13-17. Auburn gets swept by Tenn. Auburn finishes 13-17. That would put the West as such.

Arkansas 14-16 (8-7 v West)
LSU 14-16 (7-8 v West)
Ole Miss 14-16 (6-9 v West)
Alabama 13-17 (9-6 v West)
Auburn 13-17 (8-7 v West)
State 13-17 (7-8 v West)

I think this is right....
