Where did JJ rank against other starting SEC QBs last yr?
quote:Wait. . .you are asking yards? Kind of a crappy measuring stick for a QB, isn't it?
And how many yds separated him from the next closest QB?

quote:Yep. I don't put a lot of stock into the spring game, but with all this JJ v. JL v. CG bullshite, people need to understand the real issue. Gary one-season-wonder Crowton and his OL genius Les best-ol-ever Miles.
the season is 6 months away

Last place? Yea, that is what happens when you have the worst offensive line in the SEC by far.
We also had the second worst rushing game in the SEC with two senior RBs with NFL talent. What does that tell you? When a OL is blocking that poorly for two senior RBs heading to the NFL, how is it that you feel its right to judge JJ as absolutely not being a SEC QB while playing behind such an OL? Have some sense.
If JL can ever get a better feel for defenders, especially in the flats, he can be an excellent QB. See that is a balance statement about an LSU QB. Maybe you idiots could try making that sort of debate instead of "JJ has no tools" or "JJ isn't a SEC QB."
you sir are coming with the MONEY posts tonight

msutiger, TIGRLEE, and robbobbo constantly change the rules of what an "SEC qb" is.
pretty funny

Based on total rushing yards. Which isn't shocking when your obscenely high sack yardage is subtracted from that.
Charles Scott averaged 4.7 ypc
Keiland averaged 5.3 ypc

Stafford was a terrible QB at georgia
made really dumb mistakes all the time
Terrible enough to get drafted #1 overall..

The running game, 100% of all sacks, defense tanking at the end of the season, Obamacare, hangnails. . .
all Jefferson's fault.
all Jefferson's fault.

The OLine/run game was money in the Spring game.
How did JJ do with that?

I'm not one to take up for Crowton, but besides Lee throwing the pick 6s, the '08 offense wasn't that bad.

the problem is you and TheNurse want to blame all of 08 on Lee and none of 09 on JJ...basically the Lee-bots in reverse.

make the same remark about jamarcus

I hope these great kids do well. But from a football standpoint it is not so much how poorly they played or didn't play in the spring game. It is the fact that neither one has ever really play well or had a great game. They have been good at times, bad at times, but average most of the time.
This! I like both kids, JJ seems like a very good kid(although he doesn't seem like a leader). Lee showed a lot of character by staying at LSU, and had an excellent spring(although in the past has had shakey confidence)

I thought Jamarcus was great in college.

one could make the argument that Lee could've been protected better as a RS-FR if the defense had been a little more reliable...

and what does Barrett Bailey look like?
And will Zach Lee go pro baseball or step in and save the day?

JJ just falls short on winning some of them, he doesn't lose them.
The only game I would blame JJ for was PSU.
