Exactly.

As an LSU fan, you don't need to be in a camp for a certain QB, but Jesus H Christ someone should develop sometime.

This will be 4 seasons under Crowton for JL and 3 for JJ. WTF?

Hey there is fact to the play calling, game management not being close to great. That is on the coaches. The thing that gets me though, is Matt Flynn seemed to excel with these guys, and he started less games than both of these guys. I know he was a senior.

bullshite, not in this case, for over a year all we have heard of JL was when was he going to transfer and no one gave a damn. The kid is still here and fighting for a starting spot.

bullshite. Inherited QB for sure, but Flynn had less game time experience than either Lee or JJ for the 2009 season.

And why has be gotten fired are asked to leave 80% of those positions? And why did those offenses improve each and every time he was replaced?

Hate to break it to you.... but playing qbs before they are ready to play is the root of the problem.
No, the lack of offensive coaching and continuity is the program. And it's a big one. Even Jimbo Fisher could start a FS SO or FS FR and not finish 110th in total offense.

I'm not looking up stats, but Flynn threw 21 TDs and 11 Ints in 2007. Far from great.

Yes, the offense rolled for the most part. That's is Crowton's MO. Since then downhill.

Same thing with Chicago Bears, BYU, Oregon and now LSU. The dude is a one hit wonder. There is no argument except which QB gets the blame.

Can't argue with you on that. The fact is the product being put on the field tells no lies.

Crowton and Miles. Crowton should have been fired last season. Miles put his eggs in the Crowton basket.

If I am wrong about Crowton (and I mean 2-3 years of consistently good offenses, then I will READILY apologize), but he hasn't done that in 20 years so no reason the think he ever will.

That pretty much sums it up. Coaching for your job seems to light a fire under peoples asses though, so I'm interested to see how we roll this year.

+1

These cats are just in denial. . .

Actually, that was my point. ANY backup QB would be getting the "hope" of fans if the primary QB is JJ.

Truth is, I don't think people have confidence in JL. They simply hope and pray he's figured out how to use his gifts(he does throw well) because they see JJ has few gifts.

I do agree with this.

Understand what you guys are saying. I also think Talent, ability, mental edge, leadership are either there or they are not. the hype and recruiting stars don't always tell the story when the lights come on. Moxy...Mauck, Flynn, Tyler, Davey, Hodson, they all had it.

I don't have a horse in this race. I want the best player to step up and do his best.

My worry is that NO ONE can step up, not because they don't have the ability, but because they aren't getting the correct teaching.

Like I said, 4 years for JL now and 3 for JJ all under Crowton. If that isn't enough time for one of them to "get it" then either we recruiting terrible QBs (which is on the coaches) or we are clueless at developing them.

This year will tell us everything we need to know.

Honestly I thought GC should have been shown the door.No excuse for having the 107th ranked offense in the country no matter who the QB.At the same time IMO neither JJ or JL are SEC caliber QB's.Hopefully CG will prove to be the answer.

Why in the hell would you consistently run a 240lb.powerback out of the shotgun formation when you have TH and RS sitting on the sideline.

Crowton makes some crazy calls a lot of times, but to his defense I think Les reins him in more than people think, Les is that Bo Schembelcer type, whateva his last name is, and likes to play that smash mouth football, I think Crowton would love to open it up, wide open, but can't.
That's just the way it is, he works for the boss.
