The reason fans continue to discuss BCS and not move on

I am sure some want explanations they will not get
some just cannot get over it
but the real reason I think it continues to be discussed is the fanbase does not want Les to skate by and forget this. They want it engrained in his DNA so we NEVER see that kind of execution(or lack of) from our Head Coach again.
So from time to time this subject will rear its ugly head if for no other reason than to remind CLM to never forget the poorest coached game he ever had as the HC of LSU
Now
and let's run the table in 2012 and make up for this

Do you really think that Les reads this board? If he did, do you really think that he needs to be reminded of it? The dude bleeds purple and gold. He's human. He fricked up the biggest game of his coaching career. He won't ever forget that game.

I think it's because collectively as a fanbase, we've never experienced losing "the big one"
This is a pretty swift punch to the stomach and people are all confused. Granted I think if you haven't gotten over it now you might should look at other priorities.
Thats not to say you should be discourage or disappointed when you think of the game but, if you're still sulking around, complaining about it all the time, pull yourself together man!

Jarrett Lee said he never read the message boards, but someone always made sure he knew what was on them

Will last until LSU baseball starts. Get used to it.

NO he does not read the board but fans do, they talk, talk gets around and it gets back to LES
You do not get paid 4 mil to frick up you get paid to do your best every week- this was no where close to his best - and if you do screw up you certainly don't do it in the most important game of your career.
He has 4 million reasons multiplied by a multi year contract that eases his pain

Fans continue to discuss the Bama loss because it was painful to watch our beloved Tigers embarrassed on National TV. Anyone who has been a fan of college football in general, and specifically LSU, knows how difficult it is to play for a national championship. This was a blown opportunity that will be brought up for years ... LSU could win the next 3 BCSNC games, and we would still remember "the one that got away".

Crazy, isn't it?

This board is becoming unbearable. Same stupid threads, every day. Miles doesn't give a shite what you post here or talk about with your friends. His job is to win games and he will continue to do it well. Not because some message board idiots won't let him forget his mistakes but because he wants to win every game he coaches.
Think about how dumb this thread actually is.

well, let's see.
how many times has the sec screwed over lsu so that al or au could win?
excussssssseeee meeeeeee,
but, who of you did not see that we were gonna get screwed?
al was gonna get a bye and more time to prepare for lsu's weaknesses.

IF Miles wanted to win as bad as you say there is no way our team would have been so unprepared and poorly coached.
Miles let his pride and ego get in the way of his coaching just as Saban did when he lost games he should not have lost
Hopefully Les got humbled on the national stage and THAT is something let's hope he never forgets.

but the real reason I think it continues to be discussed is the fanbase
1) is dilusional
2) immature
3) has a bad case of "butthurt"
4) doesn't have a clue
answer; all of the above.

the team had nothing to do with it....right? get real. as my daddy used to say, "you can lead a horse to water...but you can't make him drink."

Tell me again who makes the personnel decisions during the game? Maybe JLee should have just run out on the field and taken the QB position from JJ.

The players ran the plays called by les(yes he did not call the plays of the OC)
The players that played were the ones LES put on the field
No changes, no adjustments, same plays over and over
Yes I do think LES gets this loss by himself because he did not try everything all the tools in his toolbox. He used a single crescent wrench the whole game

Thanks for once again another reminder. It was probably around 38 secs between the last reminder thread and your thread.

Hell, it wasn't even a crescent wrench ... it was a box-end wrench that didn't fit the job. At least with a crescent wrench some adjustments could be made.
