The reality of the NFL

What I find boggling is players who would transfer for a single year of eligibility (for athletic goals) when they have ZERO chance of playing in the NFL. Hey, you graduate and see a grad degree at a prestigious college (ala Stanford), I get it.
Justin does NOT have the skill set for the next level. He will NOT make any team.
This isn't to slight the young man but to provide realistic perspective. And, if he understands this, then he is simply taking his ball and going home.

sounds like both guys want to play in college. sorry he put a dent in your precious depth chart.

Well, the flip side to that is McMillan has already graduated from LSU, and maybe he just wants to play for two more years before he never gets to play the game again.

The opportunity to play anywhere is still the opportunity to play. Most of these guys are well aware they're not going to the NFL (or any major league in any sport), they're still competitors and want the chance to play on the field.

Maybe he simply wants to play. How many people do you know who enjoy practicing g for 4 years, only to sit the bench 90% of the time?

ok. If his goal is a single year of starting at QB in college, then the mystery is solved.
precious depth chart? I actually think these two moves clear the water...

So maybe he doesn't want to have the last football he ever played be in HS.

He might not play in the NFL, but he may also have aspirations of being something other than a college backup.
Like there is room between the two.

I'm really not understanding your point here? What does his chance of playing in the NFL have to do with him wanting to get a chance to play in college?

I find it boggling that you cant comprehend that maybe the dude just wants to play college football before he has to hang it up. If we hasn't won a job in college do you really think hes making a play for the NFL...

How would you know that he has zero chance at playing in the NFL? Please share the game film with us that you used to make that determination.

That’s all the more reason to transfer to be honest. If there’s nothing but real life to look forward to after college football, you’ve got one shot at it. End your football career riding the bench and never wear a uniform again, or end your football career playing somewhere one last time?
I have no problem with JM transferring and I hope he finds somewhere to go for immediate playing time.

Pretty sure he will get two years. He's a graduate transfer and won't have to sit out a year. He can pick up a master's degree while starting for some other team.
Narcisse is the one who baffles me. He jumped the gun, IMO. But McMillan makes total sense.

Maybe he just wants to play instead of 5 years practicing.

I don't think he'd get awarded 6 total years.....if he has 2, then I'd understand it a bit better.
BUT, I am no fan of the idea of committing to something and leaving when it doesn't go your way. Old fashion I guess.

You should have been totally against Burrow coming to LSU then.

He is a RSJR right now. He'll get to play this year and next year. He has two years left, man.
