I was never satisfied with Miami. Our defense was opportunistic but let a few big plays go. Overall, though, I’m always confident in Aranda’s defense. Offense for both games was atrocious. Line isn’t good, and we are following up on some Les Miles habits. We need to utilize screens, quick slants, etc...

If we can’t make room for the run, use the short passing game to make the DB cheat up, then open up a big pass play. Eventually the run game will open up.

And stop the max protect bullshite.

But you’re right, this game will give us a better idea how we stand.

There are few things worse on a forum like this than a dishonest player. Despite hundreds of responses to this idiotic suggestion, it still gets tossed out by bad faith participants more interested in trying to win rhetorical points than actually making sense.

Congrats...you're every bit the "snowflake" I'm sure you rant about on Facebook.

This isn’t really true.

The second half of the Miami game raised red flags to those who were paying attention to what was happening on the field and not simply looking at the score.

If the offense was going to be different than what we’ve seen for years, we’d have seen that by now.

So far it looks like we have somewhat of an upgrade at QB while everything else is the same or worse.

Couldn’t tell that from the Miami game.

The Miami game was a huge win over a top 10 team so the good outshines the bad

The black and white offensive statistics were ugly, but Miami’s defense looked good and we figured it was a matter of competition and we would see a huge improvement to week 2.

Then we didn’t really improve but the competition was way weaker.

So now all of a sudden we’re wondering if this just is the offense, and if we can keep winning games like this?

Only this board. Doesn’t even take a game - a bad play suffices to make this place melt.
