I got there at about 8:30 Friday Night . I left with under 2 minutes remaining . I'll make a deal with ya , you pay my tradition fund and I'll let you decide when I can leave . I'll pay for my tickets .

Same here. I remained optimistic that we could bust one play or something, but didn't really believe it.

I'm not trying to be fan police- I am just curious about the mentality. It is different from mine, which is fine. But if I show up on campus at 8 am, tailgate all day and have anticipated the game all week, I can't walk out of there with 5 minutes left. I know those 5 minutes will cost me 2 hours in traffic, but then I just get to listen to the post game anyway.

Agreed. I left at that 5 min mark. My girlfriend was sick to her stomach (due to an actual ailment) and I was sick to mine. ( see the other 1000 threads about LSU vs Florida) I never fault anyone for leaving. I don't like leaving eraly, I just want a reason to stay.

Fans are a reflection of their team (no matter what college, pro team, sport, etc.) To bash the fans is retarded.

Why does some douchebag have to start bashing the fans EVERY WEEK? You are misrepresenting the facts a-hole. GO AWAY!

why the need to leave 5 MINUTES early.

Traffic

It may not satisfy you but it IS one of the main reasons folks leave. Can you continue to argue about it? Sure.

Again, read the posts. I acknowledged the game was over at 2 minutes and the fact people should and can do what they want with the tickets they purchased. Just confused by we have the best fans claim and the fact some give up with time on the clock (5 mins, not the 2 min crowd when UF was kneeling on it. I get that.)

How did I misrepresent the facts? People started flooding out with over 5 minutes left and tried to scramble to watch the game after the Eugene interception. It just shows how wishy washy our fans are. They can do anything they want. Sell their tickets, leave at halftime, leave with 5 minutes left, or stay and watch the whole game. Just don't stand in my way just because you can't decide whether you want to beat traffic or cheer your team on when I wasn't planning on leaving early.

Or just sell me your tickets for the season, since I'd love to have them and am still waiting on the opportunity to hold season tickets.

I thought the fans were loud and very much into the game..even though there was not much to get excited about. Fans did more than there part. I guess we should have had them on the sideline calling plays..

I see you are in sales--If someone doesnt buy anything from you do you call them every day until they die or do you move on to fight another day with another customer?

Move on. But will speak with them again.

Haven't really tackled this topic prior to this, because I understand some of the games in which ppl leave. I was surprised by early exits for this one, with the anticipation, etc.

I actually walked to the aisle with 2 minutes remaining after UF stopped LSU on 4th down again. Obviously, I was not the only one. Some A-Hole in section 412 felt the need to yell at everyone leaving at that point about beating the traffic. I wasn't trying to beat traffic, just getting a headstart on the inevitable. In fact, I tailgated until midnight after the game. Seriously, UF had the ball in LSU territory with 2 timeouts left. It was clearly over. The fan police need to give it a rest!

Well, I can only assume yo sit in one of the upper decks. I sit inthe SEZ and NOBODY was leaving early. IN fact I looked around and remarked how many had stayed despite the offensive woes. I cannot speak for the upper deck but it did not appear that many were leaving.

Now after the last LSU posession, people did start leaving. But I find that totally uinestandable, considering our inability to throw deep, needing 2 scores, with 3:10 left and Florida in a prevent defense.

FYI I and many others stayed well past the final snap. I stayed long enough to see Florida's team celebrating the win with their fans down on the south side of the field, after LSU's team was in the locker room.

I left. Cut down my travel time home by 2 hours easily. We had no shot at that point. We could barely move the ball a yard, we weren't going to be able to throw at that point since we could not throw WHEN THE DIDN'T KNOW IT WAS COMING. I was probably drinking beer and having a late dinner by the time most fans even reach their cars for the inevitable trafic jam.

BTW - I didn't even break stride when I saw the interception. Just another chance for our offense to show its ineptitude. If they want me to think they have a cance, they need to call plays that idicate THEY think they have a chance. I saw none of that for 4 quarters (well, 3.7 quarters).

If there were such a thing as fan police I would want to join up with it so I could handcuff 90% of our fans and beat their asses.

Reading some of the negative stuff on the Rant today makes me want to find people and vomit down their throats so they know how disgusted I feel when I read their at-home-coaching posts and thoughts. Everybody is an expert.

I actually sit in section 415. Don't get me wrong, the stadium was loud most of the game and for the most part, I have NO complaints about the fans. You could tell the crowd was growing restless with the offense and the playcalling. I guess I was just aggravated that I was having to move my big arse to the rows in front of and behind me to let people out before the game was obviously over. I'm not talking about the ones that left after we turned it over on downs with 2 minutes left.

Wow, you're good. Most people can't make it to all 120 Div. 1A stadiums in one Saturday.

People were leaving early in the 1988 LSU/Auburn Earthquake Game although most won't admit it. I remember getting to move down about 25 bleachers and being literally a few hundred feet away from the "catch" because tons of people had left at that point. And that game was one of the most talked about LSU games in history.

Honestly the LSU fans in the stadium were awesome Saturday night. And frick anybody that says it wasn't good enough. It was loud, rowdy, and just what I've been waiting for the last two seasons of home games.
