Thanks, Smalls. This has really made me see the other side here. The sun is coming out. Birds chirping and shite. I'm so happy right now.

I'm not even sure why we're arguing.

The climb back up will not happen with Ed Orgeron. Recruiting will suffer, making that climb even harder. We've already had a ton of transfers and recruits decommitting. During the Miles era, our recruiting classes were 4 star heavy. That is already shifting to 3 star heavy.

I keep saying this because I think it's the bigger current issue, but recruiting will suffer the biggest loss these next couple of years and that is 10x more detrimental than losing to State by 30.

.. and it's all Joe Alleva's fault. He needs to be fired and replaced immediately.

I graduated in 2001 and was able to see every home game from 99-2001. It was an absolute blast to watch the Tigers emerge from darker times and begin the journey back to the top. Tiger stadium was loud, packed, and stayed that way through 4 quarters majority of the SEC games.

Nobody wants to lose, and I'm not saying I'm happy with how we played Saturday night. I want to see us win and I'd rather it be now than later, but the truth is winning isn't as exciting when it's 'expected' and believed to be a 'right'. I'm sure I'll be blasted for this, but I'm willing to bet Miss State fans enjoyed that win Saturday night more than Tiger fans would have had we won.

OP nailed it -

What was great about those years was that the fans were hungry and the stadium was electric and magical multiple times a year

That being said.....these guys better get their shite together or it's going to be a LONG few years!
