If you think analytics has anything to do with actual baseball strategy in the MLB you’re fooling yourself. It’s all about the GMs, the power it provides them and the money they can save.

I know one thing that pusses the fans off the most,the strike em out throw em out to end the inning. Hell ,the ole try to steal second with two outs was a paul mainieri classic. I never liked the strategy

It absolutely does. Watch a game 30 years ago and now and tell me it doesn’t have anything to do with baseball strategy in the mlb. The most obvious is defensive positioning. Some analytics are only for production vs salary, and a manager who blindly follows analytics won’t be successful. But to say it has nothing to do with strategy is blatantly wrong.
