which has absolutely no correlation to actually winning games.

if Miles inherited a team with a heisman winner at QB, 2 top 5 tackles, a top 10 WR, and a 5 star RB already in the roster, then went 9-4 in his second year, which is what sumlin did even though everyone ignores it, people here would lose their minds.

seriously, frick sumlin, frick that system. it has a very real and very obvious ceiling, and always has, every single time its been used, but some of you simply ignore that.

a million fancy pass plays are still just pass plays, and a good pass d stops them dead and theres no plan b. they scored 10 on LSU last year. ten points. total. what they do against shitty defenses is of no concern.

(and now i just have to wait for some doofus to say, "but bama, der-her, lol, they beats da bama dat one time". yes, out of sheer random luck. sheer random luck is not a plan)

Seriously...if your goal is to be beat the everliving shite out of every team not in the top 40, get into shootouts with teams roughly 40-15, and lose to pretty much every top 15 team, then Sumlin is your man.

saban gone. after all, he is responsible for the success at LSU over the last 9 years. w/o saban LSU has NEVER been good. the "magic" he put on our program is just about worn out, so the decline is inevitable. saban is the only coach in America worth a shite.

I honestly cannot decide if you are illiterate, dumb or joking. Maybe all three?

Cam's been here for one year plus four games. I'd say his quarterback last year performed at a pretty darn high level. The one QB that he has recruited who is on campus certainly seems like he's going to be pretty special too.

I really think that's what Cam would prefer to run. Look at his QB recruits.

Cam has always run a prostyle offense. I think Cam recruited Harris because of his NFL arm strength. I would like to see Harris in an offense that he's more comfortable in right now, which is the spread/pistol. However, moving forward I fully expect Cam and Miles to continue to run a pro-style offense, even if it does include more of a spread attack.

Well.. I don't want to be the negative one, but based on one SEC game we are in real danger of finishing last in the West. When was the last time that happened?
But that's one game.. And we're a completely different and better team under Harris.. So there is potential to do well.
It'll be a.. year.. that's for sure..
But we aren't about to fade into obvlivion anytime soon, at least.

the problem is the West is peaking and was already the toughest division in college football.

come late November, i expect LSU to beat decent teams like MSU by 2 TD's

LSU will be fine and I'm excited about our young talent.

We are going to finish at 8-4 though and this board is going to be on meltdown mode like it was a Curly Hallman type of season.

people think giving up 570 to Miss State is bad, how about 660... to Duke (which sumlin did 5 games ago).
