Re-watching the Mich v App St. game today made me realize even more that App St. has no chance to withstand LSU's sheer physical force. App St. was absolutely worn down by the start of the 4th quarter against a poor performing Michigan side. Imagine going up against a bigger and stronger team in LSU?

31-17 Appalachain. I haven't heard anyone say that between the quarterbacks yall have down there they have thrown a combined 1 pass in the college game. I think we'll get 2 picks just depends on what they cost you. The neers will score and our fans will come to party and get the full experience. See yall saturday!

I see 2 problems with your observation.
1) ASU v. Mich. was a Speed vs. Size game. Speed won. To the extent LSU is as large as Mich, but faster, ASU will have its hands full. App may be faster.
2) ASU was worn out in the 4th against Mich. It was not b/c App's players were in any worse physical condition than the Mich. players. Rather, Mich. simply had more players. 85 scholarships vs. 63 scholarships. App only played about 29 players the ENTIRE UM game (including the kicker & punter). However, the last time App played in BR, Coach Moore pulled his starters before LSU did. We'll see.
I think this will be a fun game to watch, but LSU will win late.

Great point! Why not just go with your scout team and make a game of it? In fact, you might go ahead and start preparing for Troy St. and N. Texas and chalk up the openner as a W.

Appy St. gets a late touchdown on the golden girls who take over in the 4th quarter
Given disparities in talent, athletic budgets, and home field advantage, LSU should win easily, no contest. Something like 55-0. Anything less, and you should be asking questions.

It came to me in a dream last night. I had previously though 42-17 LSU, but it has now become clear..... After jumping to a 17-0 1st qtr lead, LSU has a complete melt down in the Bayou and App wins 21-17 on a late TD. LSU gains 412 yds rushing, but fumbles 6 times, is intecepted twice (on just 11 passing attempts), racks up 125 yds in penalties and is befuddled by the spread option. Les Miles is inconsolable and resigns on the spot.
Do you realize that our top 3 running backs do not have 6 fumbles in their career...combined

Book it."
ASU is a good team but not a power-house like ULM.
