I only read his stuff because I click through to it on this site without being aware it's a Guilbeau article.
I agree with you completely, but I always check to make sure it's not one of his articles before I read it so I don't waste my time. It would be much more convenient if, at the very least, we were given a warning that it was one of his articles before clicking on it.

You've made two statements there. One of them is right on the money, the other is dead wrong. Let's see if anyone can identify which is which.

His shtick makes me not read his stuff.
As it would anyone with sense. Why people still read him I will never know. It's like listening to Finebaum. They'll say something outrageous to piss people off, and people will get pissed off and "show" them by reading/listening to them and calling in to the show or spreading the word about how outrageous they are, thereby giving them job security and financial benefit. Makes no sense to me.

Would you guys PLEASE stop giving this clown coverage?

Why help him out by linking to his atrocious excuse for writing?
Guys like you keep read his articles and then tell everyone about it.

I don't think you realize what putting Guilbeau on the front page does to GG. He's seriously pissed off about that kind of stuff and has told me himself he thinks TD should be paying him when his articles are posted here.
I asked him if he was being sarcastic.
No. He wasn't.
That doesn't surprise me at all. That he would be stupid enough not to realize how much he benefits from being linked on this site would be right in line with what I have always thought about him.

I have a feeling putting him on the front page is Chickens way of telling GG to kiss his arse.
Linking his stories here leads to more hits on his employer's website, leading to more advertising money for them and more job security (and more money, too, probably) for him. Giving someone money and job security isn't a very effective way to tell them to kiss your arse.

GG is a favorite guest of B'ham sports talk radio...if that tells you anything. They love to have someone from Louisiana continue to pine for Saban. He's a joke.

If he bothers you that much, let the editor know
That will tell her that he is generating attention, which is exactly what she wants him to do. If everybody thinks he's an a-hole, that means everybody is thinking about him.

just stop reading as soon as you see the byline
Too late. The hit on the website has already been recorded by then and the damage is done. The only way to be sure is to do what I do and just not click on any of the articles linked on the front page of TD.

He is no friend of LSU, that's for sure.
I don't expect or want him to be a friend of LSU, but I do expect any journalist to be objective and fair in reporting. If he wants write op-ed pieces, fine, but there is a distinction between reporting/covering a subject, and opinion. Gilbeau doesn't seem to appreciate the difference. He inserts his opinion into his reporting when not warranted, and isn't very accurate in some of his reporting of facts, disguising as facts his opinions. That is very irritating to read, especially when his opinions are not well founded, as in the comments about
the time out at the end of the first half.

What's even worse is the fact that in the print edition of the Town Talk today, the picture accompanying GG's article stated that Miles would face Ok State this Saturday in Tiger Stadium.
I'm well aware that GG didn't write that caption, but when I saw it next to GG's horrible article, all I could think was FAIL

Dear guilbeau: you are not, and never will be, finebaum

For all Finebaum's 'Bama homerism and incessant pot-stirring, he is in fact an intelligent guy who understands how to do analysis and construct a rational argument, qualities which are profoundly absent from Guilbeau's repertoire.

I got on his live chat and heckle him one time. Just constantly asked questions about being gay for Saban. He ended the chat after like 5 minutes.

You're talking about hits he would get from here anyway as people post links to those articles that get hit bigtime before mods can catch them.
This way, it's an insult. Like here ya go, have some ones bitch.
