Anyone know if the new stadium is on schedule and if it's not how far behind schedule is it?

Looking good. I drove by it today and it looks like it's coming along great. But at this point, it's hard to tell how far off they actually are from just looking at it.

Fyi: no official word on fan signs in the new box...

My understanding is that it would just be minor touch-ups that they could do during the season.

Being it is Louisiana, they will blame high costs due to the hurricane in citing why it is not complete. They will drag arse and take another year to fully complete the stadium like they did in the West Upper.

The pilings driven into the ground that were forced to be dug up also cost much needed time on the West Upper.
And this isn't a matter of tearing the old box down and building another. We knew since last year that they would not likely finish all of the "amenities" until the season continued.
But get pissed.

There was no coaches committee meeting last night, or at least baseball one for baseball.

They have already got the field looking good so I assume it cannot be that far off.

Photos on LSUSports.Net taken yesterday look like it can be completed by Feb-March, but anything can happen.

there was a "gold" level meeting last night in the tiger den suites in the upper east side of tiger stadium.
Posted on 11/11/08 at 6:17 pm to TIGER62
Feb 20 is game 1 so it will have to be ready by then
Posted on 11/11/08 at 6:46 pm to LSUBASEBALL06
not necessarily, that is why they haven't started tearing down the old alex box yet
