Saban probably told him to commit to LSU so O would stop recruiting any more LB's for this class. He'll flip to Bama on signing day and O will have to scramble for a below average grad transfer that's still a project!

We have learned not to get too excited about early "verbal" commits.
Look what just happened a month or two ago with the Mississippi guy who had committed.. then was out within days..

It is good news though, but best to be cautiously optimistic here.

But little does Saban know what it will have been O’s plan all along to take just one LB and preferably one that’s a below average grad transfer.

If the kid signs and O hauls in a top 5 class, I will give him credit for that. I have no problem giving credit when it's due. I believe in being fair.

Top 5? I'd give him that credit too. I'd say that's what we brought him here for, recruit at the very highest level. That was the trade off we assumed with his lack of coaching acumen.

Well, I keep hearing about this insane group of 2019 kids in Louisiana and that he's an amazing recruiter, seems like a top 5 class should be the benchmark.

Come back in Feb. when Saban wants a player he gets him. If LSU signs someone, it’s only because Saban knows he has better. LSU has been a safety net for recruits for the past 8 years.
