There are two coaches in the SEC making more than Les' salary of 3.5 or 3.75 million... and a sprinkling of coaches around cfb now making that kind of money
Obviously they can't all be playing for a National Championship... they should however all be in charge of well coached teams and aside from pretty excellent special teams play on last saturday I don't think LSU played near their potential
Which two coaches are making that much? I'm pretty sure Saban is one of them. Who is the other?
I just think we aren't getting what we are paying this guy for. The coaching isn't there and the wins aren't what they needed to be.
Not to hug Saban's nuts but the year he won the NC, every win that year was a confident, overpowering victory. Minus the Georgia game. With Miles, we have been squeaking by.

We need someone young and famous to die real quick to get us off the national news.

POOR LES
He should have been axed by 0900 Monday morning and we will see him in court concerning his contract. This is the BIGGEST embrassement to LSU football in all recorded history. If the Board doesn't have the guts to do call me and I would take care of it and offer him a police escort to the state line by Monday afternoon.

It doesn't feel dominant and hasn't since a bowl game or the 2007 season
I did love the feel of the 2003 team too... unbelieveable team... although clearly the ole miss game and the uga regular season game were pretty close... what was also weird was (even tho they won comfortably) what tremendous effort teh western illinois team (of all teams) put forward
to go from watching 2003 lsu vs western illinois to 2003 lsu vs arizona was the first time I really bought into the idea some 1aa teams were just better than some bcs teams

The story here is nothing new. Les flies by the seat of his pants. He has made stupid decisions all along his tenure as coach.
His national championship year, he made a number of baffling decisions. Some minor and some major decisions were simply put, stupid. They all worked out for him that year. He had incredible luck that year.
But over time, these things tend to even out. That is why I always look at the intelligence of the choice versus the outcome. The pattern for Miles is to make stupid choices.
Miles will continue to recruit well. He will continue to win most of his games. But to say he is a mastermind of college football is just ridiculous. And to say the national media has it out for Miles is to ignore the obvious about his previous decision making.

The way i look at it! Its not the head coach that wins or loses games in most cases. Its the assistance coaches that come up with thier game plan to win the game. The its up to the head coach to put it all togather. The head coach has the right to overrule the calls from either of the cordinators. I dont see how anyone can say the players were at fault in any of the games. In fact i would say that the offencive cordinator has ruined the prospects of many of the senoirs on our team with his play calling.Miles doesnt plan to win a game ..he plans to not lose the game ...throw the pass away... dont turn it over...be careful not to move...we won the first half and came in second the back side of the game
