How many OTs did Les put into the nfl in his years here? How many are still playing?

This is what is infuriating when you look and consider the lack of hardware attained during this period. Should have been more.

They won’t show you that. They will obfuscate it with a list of skill players....just numbers....yeah it’s impressive. But you need more than just rbs and dbs to win a game.....you need more than one stud linebacker.....you need ots, a real center with all the intangibles.....

Brilliant for an assistant coach to push for a HC to be fired. Even when he knows that the whole staff including himself, in most instances would also be let go when a new HC was hired. Is this really what you think?

You think an incoming coach would get rid of Aranda? Orgeron, for all his faults is an elite DL coach and recruiter for other coaches. I highly doubt an incoming coach would get rid of the entire staff. Orgeron had way more to gain than lose.

Don’t get me wrong....LSU has had many great skill players over the years....

But they have always lacked the whole package

You can’t just recruit a bunch of guards and expect them to develop into a position they are just not built for...

Dumb dumb dumb idea.....give LSU back their money geez

i think everyone would agree that a better tactician would've won more with the talent Miles had but thats in a vacuum. miles was one of the biggest reason all that talent was at lsu. he has been a good recruiter everywhere he has been.

it's hilarious. by the lack of talent Les had it seems he was extremely underrated as a coach with all the success he had with such terrible recruiting classes and no talent.

Yes but his talent was always a skatterbrained attempt at recruiting....no real plan.....just get a bunch of 5 star rbs and dbs to bolster the rankings....

It was smoke and mirrors hiding for what was lacking

Except Bama....for some reason they always seem to have it all

Money power persuasion, sec office in their state

All the cards in their favor. Imagine that

I absolutely believe it.

All skill players

Louisiana is a hotbed of talent —for skill players

That’s it....

We lack good o line recruiting

I've never disputed this..BUT...give me a mediocre recruiter who coaches his arse off and raises the level of play of 3-4 star recruits anyday. JMO

Mostly all skill players. Not o linemen

How many o lineman are starting in the nfl from that list?

You think any coach coming from another program would allow his staff to be dictated to him as a condition of his hiring? What else will he told he has to do in the future. It is his butt on the line and he is essentially being told how he has to coach.

Usually the only people who are held over are administrative staff that no one is aware of like Sam Nader and Sharon Lewis for LSU.

Some coaches bring their entire staffs to the new program. Herman brought everyone besides Applewhite and would have brought him but he got Herman's old job. I believe Scott Frost brought his entire staff to Nebraska and Willie Taggert did the same to Oregon.
