so Miles WAS NOT underachieving with all that nfl talent?
Miles is the coach:
any idiot can win 10 games at lsu
look at all that nfl talent he is wasting
miles is the only thing holding us back from winning titles
we are the 2nd most talented team in cfb
MILES ISNT THE COACH
miles really wasnt bringing in talent
you expect 10 wins? spoiled
this is a rebuild
I don't always agree with you, but you are right on this one. Can't have it both ways. Either the new HC moves the program forward: W-L, Div champ, SEC champ or playoffs or he doesn't.
There are certainly factors that can be part of the equation of success such as injury, experience, schedule etc., but ultimately results matter and you don't get a pass if you want to coach an upper tier program in the SEC. SEC football is unforgiving and if you can't operate in that environment you can go find a job at an FCS school.

For O’s sake....i hope he fired the evaluators of talent under Miles......
They were dog shite in my opinion
We have Coach Cregg now. Did you know he has a Super Bowl ring?

But he did now didn’t he?
Your logic fails and you just got owned but you won’t admit it...
Yeah and Saban was also in year 1 of a rebuild, something we weren't supposed to be and which is why O was hired in the first place.
Does that excuse the loss to Troy? Because Saban lost to ULM 10 years ago?

Sabans first year at bama, wasnt bama coming off sanctions?
he had to completely gut that team and torpedo the two deep. the fact that he almost beat LSU in OT is a testament to how good of a coach he is.
Ed Orgeron meanwhile inherited an LSU roster loaded with talent:

furthermore, O had already been in Baton Rouge since January 2015.
can you not see how these two things are not alike?
Probably not, but oh well.

Whether those four will all start Saturday in the home opener against Chattanooga is unclear. Many of them got the starting nod because projected starters were left home, potentially for unannounced suspensions. Taylor replaced Donnie Alexander, who did not make the trip. Chaisson replaced Arden Key, who traveled with the team but is recovering from shoulder surgery.

Who the frick was talking about O?? I wasn't. O wasn't part of my conversation.
Let me show you :
The post said 2005-2016: An idiot could win 10 games with the talent.
The response was : An idiot did win 10 games with that talent
O wasn't coaching during 2005-2016.
. but keep up the MILESTARD standards there Goldrush25

These things happen, some guys are men amongst boys in HS and don't exert much effort to dominate and can't step it up or find out it's just not a good fit and leave. What I will blame miles for is not recruiting legit tackles and that killed us in pass protection and I'll blame him for letting chavis recruit smaller interior lineman and lb's, this killed us against physical running teams. The credit I'll give O is he recognized this and is trying to get better in these areas.

Read the article by the advocate
It clearly mentions starters out because of suspensions.....so you have suspensions, transfers, attrition, and injuries
And coach is somehow suppose to overcome that and coach the freshmen up.....Jimbo couldn’t coach a quality qb last year....Saban could not coach up his first year Bama players to beat ULM
Wow. Yeah. Bama should never lose to ULM.....ouch

Article is dated September 4. Thought we were talking about Troy game.

Les's classes were very padded and lacked meat.

Lsu was gutted due to suspensions, transfers, attrition, injuries and poor o line recruiting....
Sanctions vs all that above....what’s the difference....bottom line both coaches were working with a less then desired deck
Neither coach was able to beat a team like Troy or ULM.....
And coach O beat Auburn (a team that beat Bama)....a testament to his coaching after his team was able to accrue some experience and some starters returned...

LSU was not “gutted” and you have posted nothing to support that.
Really? Really? Wow.
Do you know what happens to a school dealing with sanctions?
The situations of 2007 Bama and 2017 LSU are nothing alike, at all.
The auburn game is irrelevant. We are talking about the Troy game. Try to stay on topic.

You think all the suspended players returned the next week.....no. They did not.....

Well there are several other guys addressing your “points”, so I don’t like wasting time going over things that have already been addressed.
But your “point” that I replied to had to do with your completely fabricated theory that:
quote:
They probably looked at our recruits and saw LSU was in need of a rebuild...and they would not SHINE....for at least 2 or 3 years and told LSU, thanks but no thanks
There is nothing to address. That is simply the kind of asinine fabrication that one creates when they have nothing of substance to back up their beliefs.
That, plus your claim that I was somehow “sugar coating” something by pointing out that Orgeron was passed over for the HC job at USC by someone on the same staff that had never even been a HC before clearly show me that you just aren’t even capable of processing one statement and formulating an applicable and understandable response of your own.
Having a back and forth with that type of communicator is not the type of exercise I enjoy wasting my time on.

Again, congratulations on making the list

These are your points:
Coach O lost to MSU and Troy because we played so many freshmen who weren't ready to play. Which is OK because Saban lost to ULM 10 years ago
The players who transferred after O was named full time head coach tried to sabotage O to get him fired.
Coach O took over a terrible Ole Miss team and built them up so another coach can benefit from his recruiting.
USC didn't hire Coach O because he didn't have the Hollywood appeal.
Yes, you are an idiot.

They all magically came back for the Auburn game.....and LSU won. Imagine that. After getting manhandles at Troy, we were hanging in their with a defense that stopped Bama! And we actually beat that team.....do you think all of a sudden Coach O was able to coach up the players then.....no man....those starters were bigger and stronger....
a troy team that south alabama manhandled? my god bruh. stop while your way behind

Address the suspensions, injuries, attrition, transfers and poor o line recruiting by Miles....
How was coach O suppose to overcome all that....
Saban got a pass for the loss to ULM because of sanctions....
I happen to think Bama’s sanctions and O’s suspensions, injuries, attrition, transfers and poor o line recruitment are on par...
Tell me why you disagree!
