The best team on your list that LSU beat was Miami, And they didn't even show up. IMO!!

This is impossible to determine. But I can tell you this. I have been going to LSU games since 1981. I have been a season ticket holder since 1992. The most dominant win I have ever seen over a legit bigtime team. Was the 48-7 win over VT in 2007. I have never seen LSU jump on a team and just not let up for 60 minutes.

I remember this well and LSU did dominate. But Say what you want. Va Tech had QB problems and not that much of an offense at that time. If they had played later in the year, I don't think they dominate them as much!! JUST My OPINION!!!

Hadn't won in 11yrs against the tide, and beat them in Birmingham. D-line dominated their offense.
In the 1st quarter, both defenses dominated. In the 2nd quarter on, LSU's defense continued to dominate. Alabama played good, the second half we had their number.

That was the first time a Bear Bryant coached team had been held to ZERO points and ZERO first downs in the first half. Their total yards by halftime was around 30 to 40. The only points they got was in the second half on a field goal and a kickoff return. They did not have a long drive at all.

Bear Bryant retired after that season.
The popular joke after that game was "Why did Bear Bryant shoot his wife? He asked her what time it was and she said 20 to 10."

Really? You were just singing the praises of the 2001 team that Steve Spurrier waxed, buffed & polished to the tune of 632 yards.

He may be on to something, considering your fascination with judging defenses based on yardage.

That one was almost as bad as when we tried to invade Gainesville in '96 and they slapped us around and put 56 points and 635 yards on us.

+1 My Dad always talked about that game. I only saw footage, but the old timers would bring that game up. They also talked about the '58 season like the '03 season. bad arse defenses dominating play. That '03 defense was nothing short of brilliant. So I would have to say the NC win over OU as the most dominating defensive performance against a very high powered opponent. Va Tech was also good, but they were still recovering from all of the attention from the shootings, LSU was on-fire and it was hot that day.

Since you know all there is to know about Football..what was the last LSU team that had that much sheer yardage dumped on it's "Alledged" Defense?

LSU scored 2 Offensive Touchdowns. That is not even remotely in the ballpark of Dominating.

1st of all I never said that LSU had a good D in2001. But I woulld think the answer would be the 58-3 game. I could be wrong!!!

I vote for the 1984 USC game. The Trojans were 2-0 and hoping for a good showing but the Tigers showed from their first possession which way the game would go (at least until Dalton fumbled but he made up for it). USC fans and players knew it, too. To dominate against such a storied program made that one of my favorite road trips ever.

Don't believe that the 1984 Trojans were bad. This was against a USC team that finished 9-3, #10 in the AP poll that year, #9 in the UPI poll, PAC10 champions, and winners in the Rose Bowl against a 9-2 Ohio State team that was ranked #13 even after that loss.

It's obvious you don't know how to spell "allege" because that's about the 3rd time I've seen you misspell it recently.
