The Media "Surface Level" thinkers will be oh-so-wrong about LSU's Offense

Most casual observers of college football cannot TRULY follow more than a couple of teams. Witness all of the surface level media analysts who are automatically attributing last Saturday as a remake of the 2010-2011 campaigns.
They don't know about Copeland motivating the AUburn Dline
They don't know about the motivation the Auburn team got from losing one of their football family members just a few hours before the game.
They are not properly accounting for the Auburn game being the first real test of the Oline without a key veteran starter in the lineuo.
They are not accounting for the Auburn "due to play a good game" factor, as they were needing to ante up and show they had talent.
{edit/add} The did not account for "the absolute slaughter LSU put on AU last year that could act as motivation"
They are not accounting properly that this was Mett's first ever big time road test.
They were not accounting how the Auburn fan base made the venue as good as it gets for much of the 2nd and 3rd quarter.
They were not accounting for the fact that the Tigers probably did (even though they should not have) overlook Auburn since Auburn played so poorly and almost lost to a very good ULM team.
They did not account for the fact that Blue's field vision made him missed a lot more than any of us thought (even though we are loaded, it was gonna take some time in the first half to adjust).
They did not account for the inordinate number of QB fumbles in key situations, and how that is highly unlikely to repeat itself.
They are not accounting for JD's "tactical mistake".
They are not accounting for the fact that Auburn has at least 2 NFL Dlinemen.
They did not account for the ODB and Shep dropped passes which would have skewed Mett's yardage and stats considerably more positive than it was.
They do not know how this is the humble pie that will serve the Tigahs extremely well for the big stretch upcoming.
They are also forgetting how Oregon looks so good until they play and LSU or SEC caliber defense.
Same for West Virginia. (not to mention their weak defense, which we would walk all over).
Go ahead and apply your surface level thinking and assessment, media "experts".
LSU is in SO MUCH better of a situation NOW than if we would have walked over Auburn.
14-0 is still my prediction.

I had him before, and after, as no better than our 3rd best back. BUT,the point is that he was missed in the first half more than any of us thought. He does have uncanny good field vision.

On the flip side of the coin, here are the obstacles that must be overcome:
1) we must find a replacement for our 1st rd all American left tackle
2) we have an inexperienced qb that has to learn to put all that talent to good use on the field
3) we have inexperienced receivers that must catch the ball with greater focus
4) we miss the most dynamic playmaker in lsu history which there can be no true replacement
5) we have inexperienced defensive backs that must learn to not get burnt
With these things to work on we will have to improve every week , and be a little lucky to go 14-0.

I agree but the proof is in the pudding.
We really won't know what we have until the Florida game.
I am still very optimistic.

Did you list the absolute slaughter LSU put on AU last year that could act as motivation as well?

When did this happen?

There have been a few times that we have given up long pass plays this season. We were caught with a slant across the middle against Washington I believe that almost went for a td. We have allowed a few pass plays to get behind us either because we went for the interception or missed coverage.

hate to hijack but CarRamrod, are your grandparents ok??? I know that their house burnt on or near Easter last year ... never heard a siren and I'm down the street from them in Perry. Terrible ... it was such a well kept place. I've tried to contact you through here before but to no avail.

I don't know about all that because I didn't read it, but I can say that looked alike a different Auburn team than the one I watched play Clemson and Miss State. They were pumped.
