I've only been able to attend 3 games @ Tiger Stadium this decade so I will have to pick 1 from way back: Washington in '83.
It was the largest crowd in history until the expansion. I lost my voice after that one until the following Mon. afternoon. That game showed the influence of the stadium & its atmosphere b/c a team that finished winless in SEC games dominated the eventual PAC- 10 champ & Rose Bowl winner.

Don't take any crap from people commenting about your listening the radio broadcast at the game. I did that as a student & some people asked me "Why you listening to music at the game?!" Once I explained I had the play-by-play of the game in my ears, I remember numerous times people asking me about the status of injured players that the sideline reporter would state during the broadcast or for scores of other games.

I've seen quite a few in this thread and always hear about UF in '97.

Don't get me wrong, it was absolutely insane, but I always thought that Auburn '97 was actually louder at times during the game.

There was one point, I think in the 3rd quarter. Auburn had the ball at there own 1 yard line, right in the student section. Those couple of play were the loudest I've EVER heard TS, and that includes the Florida '97 game.

These are all the typical answers and none are really wrong. But 2 that stick out in my mind that ppl don't remember. 2000 Tennessee game, and 2000 Miss.ST games both were won in OT.

Agreed. Those were intense back-and-forth games. I was in the student section and remember not being able to hear myself screaming. Then we rushed the field! What good memories!

Also, the 'Hester' UF game last year was just as loud.

one of the loudest and most bone chilling times in tiger stadium for me was when uga scored that 93 yard screen pass for a td. It was awesome hearing us just get louder and then skylers td. I was going nuts i almost ended up flipping over my dad

The loudest game end-to-end for me is UGA 03.
Single loudest moment for me was UF 07.

As far a UGA 03 goes, even Mark Richt said that when they scored to tie LSU he thought that would take the crowd out of it. Instead, the chant L-S-U L-S-U L-S-U started after they scored and just kept getting louder and louder. Let's make sure they get the same treatment this weekend too.

Hands Down......not even close....

USC - LSU 1979.

I know most of you were not around, but that game was even louder as a game than the "earthquake" moment...don't remember anyone seating down at all during the game...incredible

season ticket holder since '69 ....
a lot of games in the memory bank.

Skyler Green coming down with the football in '03 against UGA for the win capped off a loud 4 qtrs. For me UGA '03 AND UF IN '07.

Last year Florida was very loud.

We need to make this georgia game the loudest ever. Young offensive line to disrupt.... get up and get loud.

The loudest I've ever been to was easily Florida in '97. The stadium was loud an hour before kickoff. It was loud throughout halftime. I'm sure there were moments that were louder, but for long, painful loudness, to me, it doesn't get better than that game. I couldnt talk until Thursday that week, and couldnt even manage to get a sound out after the game.
