LSU has run most plays (80) with at least two RBs and two TEs + two or less WRs of any team in nation. Next are Pitt with 59, BC with 54.

LSU was second nationally in 2013 with 228 plays where it lined up at least two RBs and two TEs + two or less WRs
At this pace, 2014 is easily on pace to break 228.

Amazingly, we are 2nd in the nation right now in Yards per Catch. So we pound straight into the middle of the line or we fire it deep.

i guess he couldn't add how LSU was the first team in the SEC with a 3000 yard passer, 2 1000 yard receivers, and a 1000 RB with only 140 characters

It's called the dive bomb offense. Dive, dive and then throw the bomb.

to say that is the reason our offense sucks is crazy. and misinformed. and over simplistic. last year, one of your two years, LSU's offense was the most prolific in the history of our school.
who cares if there is a fullback or a TE in the formation. they are there to block and catch the occasional pass. spread teams don't use them? I guarantee you they use TE's.
I guess you are advocating 4 wideouts on every play.

I had a thread about this the other night. Miles is predictable. I had basic data and the trend was obvious. The outcome was obvious too....
each year we are more likely to run than pas on first and second down. And each year our rush yds to yds per attempt have been decreasing.
These guys have access to play by play data that can easily be analyzed using a logistic regression to determine the probability of a play being run or pass based on a whole suite of data.

Imagine what those numbers would have been with good offensive coaching

The folks with blinders on blasted me two weeks ago when I said I'd like to see us complete a few 3rd and 6 passes. Take your shots deep, sure. But you also have to be able to move the chains with 3rd down conversions.

So if I understand. One of the best offenses we have ever had, that set SEC records, was bad offensive coaching? Jesus, I'd hate to see how bad some of you would be if you had anything other than hate to back up your claims.

My first thought too

apparently...offense hasn't exactly been a strength of our team over the years

We have absolutely no short or intermediate passing game and it's killing us

When the defense knows the play call without having to guess, it makes it easier to defend as a team. Last year was an aberration, and not the norm for offense in the Les Miles era.
