Based on the upvotes there are some knowledgeable folks that agree with me. What will you say when this team makes a run in the sec tournament? I bet coach jones has the team peaking right at the end.

Who you gonna bring that's better and knows la recruiting? No one. Remember jones got us jarrell Martin, Jordan Mickey, and Ben Simmons. Good luck finding someone that can recruit better than that. Or do you prefer Trent Johnson recruiting?

No he didn't. Martin was raising his little sister and wasn't leaving Baton Rouge Mickeys family was here because his brother was playing football here already so he was coming nomatter who the coach was Simmons came because his god father was an assistant so jones didn't recruit him either. The best recruit Jones has landed since he's been here is Tim Quarterman. Other teams from out of state like ATM cinncinatti and western Kentucky have out recruited Jones we'll be so much better without him.

Again who will you get that's better? The fans were really desperate to fire Brady and we got Trent Johnson who couldn't recruit. Bad idea to get rid of a tiger legacy that lands the big fish in state.

I will pay for his trip out of town never to return to LSU.

This OP is a classic troll bait post, IMO.

Using TJ as comparison to JJ is a good example of a straw man argument. (I doubt that many were sad to see TJ go at the end of his tenure. TJ was a bad recruiter. JJ has had a few good and great recruits. But, his teams have under performed their potential. He has not developed depth. By the fifth year, he should have an experienced and talented team. He should have a team that has bought into his concept and plays hard together. Instead, his team looks like a confused, demoralized, and beaten group of individuals).

JJ is not a good coach and is not a good motivator.

He has not locked down LA. There are a number of kids at least as good and better than his recruits that have left the state (sometimes for smaller conference schools).

His coaching record was average at best at North Texas and would not be here except for political connections.

I hope he gets canned this year. We need and deserve a team and coach who have not given up.

No one can provide a name that would be an upgrade. Good luck getting a coach that wants the job as much as coach jones and has the recruiting connections he has. You realize if we fire him our Australian pipeline will be destroyed? Bet we can't find someone as respected as coach jones in Australia.

literally any coach named could be better than JJ right now.

I know you're trolling, but geez.

When you are being paid well over a million dollars a year and are responsible for the product that we've seen over the last year, your deserve to be fired.

A number of potentially better coaches have been named in a number of other threads.

JJ has lost the most of the fans, the media, and apparently his team.

So, for any remaining JJ supporters, is there anything that would make you not want to keep him after this year?
Wins/losses, player defections, etc?

Hopefully we do a little research and look beyond the same 3 or 4 commonly regurgitated names that get posted here
