No but you're discounting the job that Coach O and this team has done so far this season, especially with the difficulty of our schedule and the lack of big names and question marks we had on the offensive side of the ball.

Orgeron and staff have done a great job so far this year and we are exactly where I expect LSU to be any year with any coach.

In contention to win the west. If we are in this position every year, and start winning it as much as we lose, then I'll be satisfied no matter who the coach is.

Hopefully, in future years, we won't have a loss to a team that we probably should have beaten preventing us from getting into the playoffs even if we don't win the west.

Also, my expectations are that, should we not win the west, we respond to the loss in a positive manner and not go into a tailspin at the end of the year.

The floor for this team is 10-2. Anything less than that will be highly disappointing.

So every team that doesn't go undefeated isn't amazing. Gotcha.

That's oversimplifying things. If 1-loss teams through September and October were considered amazing, Les would still be here.

There are some big weekends ahead.

I doubt many of us really thought we would honestly be here with 1 loss. Miami,Ga, MooU, Aub, and Fla were thought by many to be a tough road coming into Bama. I thought 2 losses going into Bama and hoped for 9-3 or 8-4. So for me I gotta say it has been a GREAT year to date. What I am really glad to see is we have put a good, well prepared, team on the field. We have fought through injuries and suspensions, and found ways to win. Kiddos to O and staff. He was not my choice as the hire, but he has done his job well to date. Geaux Tigahs.

No praise is enough for some people around here. It's all or nothing for some reason.

There should really only be one that has any suspense. This weekend vs Bama.

Arkansas and A&M should not be able to hang with us this year.

Not only that, i guess we are supposed to also act like being 70th in offensive yards per game, 90th in passing yards per game, and 91st in offensive yards per play proves Ensminger is a great OC.

The team is winning and im happy. That in no ways means im blind to reality.

Exactly. These threads that call for premature praise do more harm than good because people want fans to go all in on the season before the season is complete. Then, any slight criticism is taken as "throwing shade."

“If 1-loss teams through September and October...”

It really is amusing that before it was, don’t tell me what you have done in Sept.-Oct, tell me what you have done in Nov-Dec. Now, what we have done in Sept-Oct is “ incredible”.

7-1, #3 is great! Incredible will be it we are in the top four at the end of the regular season.

If we lose to Bama, you still feel the same? Seems on this site after a loss most "fans" want to throw the coach under a bus.

agreed, that loss sucked arse, I despise Florida.

We got our arse handed to us in the trenches.

But to have the team come out the next week and wreck the #2 team in the country is a great job by the staff.

They were prepped for that game brilliantly and our staff coached circles around UGA's staff.

Ill be pissed off but if we win out and go to the Sugar Bowl that is a win in my book for O and the current staff.

Bama is incredible right now, our fans compare LSU to them which is idiotic, no team in the country can compare themselves to Bama currently.

I do think we give them a game this week, but if we lose I cant shite on O for it because Bama has 95% of teams beat before they get off the bus.

There's two set of standards, one for Les Miles and one for Orgeron.

How many years did we go undefeated in September under Miles? When Orgeron does it, it's time to eat crow.

Orgeron's most ardent advocates don't want to admit that they set a low standard for him to meet.

Im not giving premature praise Luny, Im praising O for the job he has done up until now.
