The (Florida) loss takes incredible job off the board for me, but the team and coaches have done a damn good job to this point in time.

You underestimate how hard it is to beat a good team on the road in a hostile environment

Once, in 2011. That's the only other time in recent years that LSU had to play so many ranked teams. That's not enough to say it's old hat around here and disqualify the job O and staff have done.

We are having a good year but O needs to win a title before he is crowned. I think a lot of people have forgotten that we fired miles to win titles not have a 1 loss before November. But im happy with the season for sure.

2011?

We were undefeated, and crushing everyone. Went to Tuscaloosa and won.

This year does not and cannot compare to that.

2015 is a better comparison but again, we were undefeated going into Bama week. People act like it's been ages since we've had expectations.

Let's just let 2018 be its own thing.

We are the more talented team. We lost to an inferior team. That takes amazing off the table for me but its just an opinion.

Certainly, I'm never going to take anything away from Miles even though I was never a fan. The man's record speaks for itself. I will say that IMO the kids look like they are having more fun since O took over. Maybe I'm seeing what I want to see because I genuinely want this to work out. 12 years in one place is a long time for a head coach and it just seemed like maybe the message Miles was sending was getting a bit stale with the players.

Now he's going to be held to the standard of those that have occupied his position at LSU. If he's truly outstanding relative to his peers, do something outstanding for this position, beat a team that we haven't beat since 2011

The barometer of success or failure is one game. Got it.

Nah, I'm going A- to this point. Should not have lost to Florida.

I saw that too and just let it go. How many first full years can one coach have?

In football, with a 12-13 game sample size, the difference between outstanding and simply good is razor thin. That's just reality.

In the moment of truth, when your best is needed, outstanding meets or exceeds the challenge. Good does not.

It is difficult but it's still a game the Tigers should have won. Kinda like Auburn 2006

So every team that doesn't go undefeated isn't amazing. Gotcha.

Maybe I misunderstood you. Were you throwing shade on Steve or not?

I was saying its easy to understand why people doubted an oc that spent more time coaching highschool in the last 20 years than running an offense.
I was saying calling plays from an already established playbook is in no way the same thing as building your own offense.
Im saying lets not act like we have this amazing offense.
Our 2015 offense was better.

Lol.

If you win a title with 1 loss its great. Have we won a title or are we 8 games into the season?

Hope that "if" they don't beat Bama, he can keep this team together, beat Ark and Rice like they should and finish it with a win on the road at a&m.... That will show the true character and ability I'd want to see. Finish 10 - 2. Don't let a Bama loss linger !!! Then win a big bowl game too !!! 11 - 2 and a final ranking inside the top 10...

“ you underestimate ...”

Hell, it took a miracle touchdown pass for Nick to beat Kentucky. I think I understand how tough it is to win on the road in the SEC.

I still don’t think that an incredible job includes a loss to a team we are more talented than, but each to our own.
