Man I wish I had a dollar for every post like that I've seen in the last few weeks.

Do y'all think it's worthless to the players that win it? Or to Fournette himself? I'd bet the house that it's not. Guarantee you it's a big deal to Leonard and that it really stung to not even be invited.

To everyone who says it's worthless... Would you be willing to say that to Fournette himself?

Would be nice if ranters who could never fathom being in a Heisman discussion leave it to those players that are to decide whether it's a worthless award or not.

Worthless? Billy Cannon's Heisman is on display at TJ Ribs, so it has to be worth at least a hundred bucks.

Stop taking about the Heisman. No player from LSU will win it anytime soon.

But why should fans care that much about it? Yes I'd like our best players to be recognized but football is a team game.

Jason White beat Larry Fitzgerald. This award is what it is and has been for a long time.

Makes sense and you're right. It IS a team game. I do think Leonard would love to win it though and that's really the only reason I care. He's the best RB (if not player) in college football and I don't think he will win it with the offensive philosophy being what it is and I find that somewhat sad.

Worthless? No. Way overhyped? Yes. Pretty much supposed to go to the best player in college. But to qualify your team needs to be a contender. That's where the award is lame. Very rare a player gets the Heisman without his team being a contender. Second it favors offensive players. You could be the best player in the country hands down but if you play defense don't think about winning this award. The show runs way too long to find out who the best player in the country that is on a contender and plays on offense is....

All of a sudden its worthless to some posters because LF7 wasn't in the discussion at the end of the season.

It's only worthless when an LSU player is in the hunt, looks close to winning, and then falls off the seen.

You pretty much have to be a great player AND on a dominant team. It's possible to not be on a dominant team, but rare.

Don't worry about Bee.

I'm suprised he has any skin left at all on his little dick the way he beats off to attacking other posters on this site for bringing the truth to the masses.

It's become nothing more than a popularity contest. Bo Jackson proved that with his comments a few weeks back about keeping it in the state of Alabama.

I think Fournette is the best running back in the country and is as valuable to his team as any other player in the country, and should have at least been invited to the ceremony. But after the year the kid from Stanford had, he should have won the award this year.

IMO the Stanford dude got robbed, one man show of offense, special teams. Much more valuable to his team than the gumps steroid freak who will flop on the next level. Barring injury he will be hard to beat by LF7 next year, LF7 will need more pass catches, and some special team yards to.

Forever LSU
