Definitely closer stuff and mentality

Not in size but in swag and mentality + suprise reminds me a little bit of when Chad Jones started coming in late to close games out from football

Guidry’s size is completely irrelevant. Elite closers must have a mindset and stuff. Guidry has both.

That throw out on a swinging bunt with Nichols from the mound was ESPN top 10 plays caliber.

He's also a stud infielder & pre-season, was set to replace Thompson as SS next year. What now?

That's probably still the plan. He's been solid, but he's gonna make his $$$ at the next level playing the field, not pitching.

He's a dawg! Stuff looked good yesterday. We will need innings from him going forward. His throwing motion is a little awkward that keeps batters hesitant.

I only meant size in my comparison to Chad jones.. I agree size as a pitcher really doesn't matter. I watched Roy oswalt tear up many a batter for a long time..

And his breaking ball that spikes the dirt past the plate making batters look baffled reminds me of when Brad lidge had his good stuff

Better find some pitchers halfway through the season when southern ain’t the opponent

I love how you’re obviously trying to talk shite, but you’re too dumb to piece together a coherent statement.

ETA: Guiry is an absolute player. I’m eager to see him step into an every day role next season, and if he truly sticks with pitching and playing short

JJ needs to look for another SS in the TP or in high school. This guy needs to be on the mound full time.

No. His reaction was real with raw intensity not copying Cena’s fake pro wrestling theater crap.

I dunno. I feel like he could juggle playing short and being a reliever. I don’t know if he’s necessarily starting pitching material, but I could be off. It’ll be interesting to see how it shakes out.
