re: The fundamentals to being a positiger or a negatiger

might i add, a negatiger is generally very young, uneducated (but working on it), knows it all, is very unrealistic, and generally not very smart. In general, a negatiger is a negative person in life...has big dreams, but doesn't have the intelligence/discipline to get where they want to be in life and are therefore bitter at the world. As a positiger. I am not happy with winning 8 games at all. I do enjoy winning 52 out of our last 67 games and hope that lsu football can continue to win at almost an 80% rate. It is unrealistic to think we can since it has never been done over a 5 year period, but you give me on our down years an 8-4 and 9-3 record, and on our good years a SEC and possible NC...yeah, i'm pretty damn happy. I am diehard lsu, but i don't decide whether to live or die with an lsu win or loss. Sadly, there are those that do. One day when you grow up, you will understand what i'm saying.

Look at all the negative posts today. LSU won last night and most of the posts are negative.
You’re mistaken. A positiger is a tiger satisfied with mediocrity, while a negatiger, on the other hand, is someone who is not. I mean if you are satisfied with ugly wins, with getting lucky to win games against teams we should have beaten by 50 points, with getting lucky to win games against opponents with decimated first team offenses and defenses, with winning games when the opponents beat us in total yards, first downs, time of possession, and number of plays, in other words, every which way but on the score board, with occasionally losing games to teams we should have easily beaten, with winning only 8 to 9 games a season, with losing games because of piss poor game management skills, with sloppy and undisciplined play, and with plain mediocrity, then congratulations you are a positiger

You forgot to acknowledge the fact that almost anyone off the streets could have been as successful as Less Miles after walking into a loaded team and program the same way Less did.

Without a doubt, I was NOT HAPPY in the forth quarter of our game last night.... it was scary, and I would much rather have sat back in comfort soaking in a comfortable win.
However, I am still not ready to declare life over and not worth living as an LSU fan.
Is our coaching staff perfect? The best of all time with no issues? Nope. No staff is.
But the extreme of seeing this as the total demise of LSU football is as silly as the concept of thinking everything is perfect.
Look at other programs... they have all had issues over the past few years. YES all of them. The Nuttster was one frequently cited as being a better coach than Miles. And while he certainly has had some better moments, yesterday proved he's not a given better choice. Richt?? Yeah, he's the one that rolled craps with his highly tauted #1 ranked team... Urban's new Tebow free team looked terrible yesterday... Pete Carroll's uber-team is vacating victories and returning hardware now...
So just because I'm not ready to throw my hands up and dog cuss the current coach we have doesn't mean I'm a PollyAnna with my head stuck in the sand. I can be unhappy without screaming for people's heads on a platter for crying out loud.
There's a whole season of football ahead and I can try to get some enjoyment out of it and then let the "process" take care of what happens after this.
Why do some people want to make themselves and everyone around them miserable now, when nothing is going to change for months????

I’m sorry but there is no way to sugarcoat mediocrity. Mediocrity is mediocrity.
LSU has always been mediocre, save for a few seasons. miles is the closest you've been to breaking free of the mediocrity cycle. now you're trying to run him outta town.

Can you atleast spell our HC name correctly?

If you invite some negatigers over to watch the replay with you and try to convince them they should be proud of the effort, you might be a positiger.

No. But Saban was in the 4th game of his first year when we lost that game. The team improved from there. "Negatigers" focus on the current downward trend of not playing up to potential, while "positigers" either focus on the past or simply ignore the writing on the wall.
Oh so in 2004, coming off a NC, when lsu had THIRTEEN pre-season media all sec first and second team players...lsu stumbled to finish 17th in the nation after losing their bowl game to iowa.....but i know...THAT WAS DIFFERENT. lol

This is my point exactly. Some people are just so focused and INTENT on what they see as the hopeless problems at LSU that they are now completely incabable of seeing anyting positive in our team, nor can or will they see any of the same or worse problems at other programs or with other coaches!!!

this quote..more than anything you have ever said on this board, completely demonstrates your ignorance and the fact you are uneducated. btw, saban had 13 preseason all sec performers in 2004....THIRTEEN...and finished the season 17th with a bowl loss to iowa...but that was different i know...lmao.

is there something wrong with be a realTiger?
A realist faces facts, expects accountability from those who are responsible, expects to get what you pay for, a truthful answer to an honest question, views thing as they really are and not what we wish they were, expects common sense in common sense situations, expects professionals to perform in a professional manner,
Maybe I am being unrealistic

Why don't you go prove how smart you are by participating in them instead of spewing this tired drivel?
Why don't you prove how smart you are and finance a buyout of Miles contract? I would really appreciate it.

Thanks for the testament to his fine coaching and recruiting skills
Gerry's skills.
saban went after & signed: marcus randall, rick clausen & lester ricard - the tulane qb.

No Miles like you is the epitome of mediocrity.

What? You don't like it when I say Less "than expected" Miles. Personally, I think it is a very apt description of his coaching talents.

Actually everyone with at least half a brain knew that 2004 would be a sacrificial season because the two young quarterbacks (Russell and Flynn) were still too inexperienced and because we would be stuck with Marcus Randall as the starter. Hence, considering who was starting at QB, I'm happy we at least finished 9 and 4.

And 2008 and 2009 were NOTHING like that... I see your point now...

Hey...if you are happy, fat, and satisfied with winning ugly and mediocre, then don't let me rain on your parade.

I can understand one season, but two and it looks like it is going to be three. In any event, Miles owes virtually all of his success to Nick Saban. Had Less Miles been hired in 2000 and followed Dinardo, there never would have national championships in 2003 and 2007. Hell, had Saban not preceded Less Miles, there wouldn't have been a national championship in 2007 for that matter.
