im so sick of people like you bitching and moaning.

i'm 24. I remember in the early 90s thinking we would never be an elite college football program. Much less being able to witness LSU win a national title in my lifetime.

There are CFB fans all over the country who would give damn near anything to have just a taste of the success we have had in the past decade.

So get the frick over yourself, you have no control over who the next coach will be (if there even will be one), much less the direction the program will move in.

Assholes like you are the reason I NEVER read the Rant anymore. For starters, you have NO fricking clue what you are argueing or talking about, nor can you back up your pathetic whining with facts. It's just sad.

Long story short: frick off.

So basically when you were 4 - 6 years old you were wondering this?

I don't remeber what year it was, but i recall sitting in TS with my dad in pouring rain watching Miami stomp an absolute mudhole in our asses.

It was then when I was thinking whats the point in this? they will never be worth a shite. we will NEVER win a NC. etc.

I shouldnt have said early 90's. I meant the whole decade.

the way you framed the argument is actually the root of the problem. Negatigers like to throw out stupid comments like Miles is the worst at this and Crowton is the worst at that and rarely provide any insight that's worth reading. And then imply anything short of being perfect is accepting mediocrity when it's not. And most fans do not want to accept mediocrity. But acting as if you are a bastion of wisdom and yours is the opinion that should define what is acceptable for a fan is just stupid.

Half the time, posi-tigers are merely arguing to provide a counterpoint. Sure, there are some naive sunshine pumpers, but half the time I think they are merely trying to provide a counterpoint to the incessent, poorly backed up arguments made by negative posters. Neither of the extremes explain their arguments well.

Why is it so hard to discuss flaws without resorting to hyperbole? There are flaws. Are you capable of discussing them without trying to skew things into "so and so is the worst HC/OC/fill in the blank"?

I just find the negative ilk annoying because where they are quick to criticize, they refuse to give credit for anything the team does well; instead, they dwell on the negatives and look for ways to find new problems and somehow think that makes them smart.

There are plenty of intelligent threads criticizing specific aspects of the game which are not devolving into stupid arguments about the inadequacy of Miles, Crowton, etc. Why don't you go prove how smart you are by participating in them instead of spewing this tired drivel?

This is the most intelligent, spot-on "addressing-the-issue" post that I've ever read on the Rant.

The only thing I could possibly disagree with is the statement that "that there are many good football threads" on the Rant.

There are not. It's mostly the inane bullshite like this thread-starter here.

Chicken has a lot of irons in the fire, I know. The Rant has always been a perfectly moderated blend of anything-goes, but yet the inane and superfluous stuff was whacked in a hurry.

It may be because of those irons in the fire, but this board has had probably 5 times as many threads as necessary the last year or so.

Most of the garbage is stuff like this thread, where folks like the thread-starter clutter this board with inane, repetitious junk--just believing that everyone wants to read the one thousand threads they start.

Yes, I am perturbed by what I have been seeing on the field and out of the coaches.

Les Miles correctly said in 2007 that the Tigers should be judged by "the body of work" as to whether they belonged in the NCG.

Well, Les Miles is being judged by his "body of work." Anyone with any sense knows this is a key year.

Like all realists here, I think we need to give serious thought to making a change if this year is no better than the last two.

But that doesn't mean I think I need to start 1000 bullshite threads cluttering up this board--"Miles sucks!" "Miles can't talk right!" "Jon Gruden?" "Posi-Tigers suck!" and on and on ad nauseum.

As those with sense have said, the season will play out. Miles is NOT going to get fired next week.

Guys like the thread-starter remind me of an immature whiny kid in the backseat of the car, screeching in that aggravating kids' voice every five seconds: "WHEN WE GONNA GET THERE???"

Mature folks know we'll get there, but you take the journey first.

Until then, some of you same people need to put a sock in it and quit cluttering the board with your bullshite.

I remember when LSU finally beat MSU and TN under Saban!

Those are the games we usually lost and finally, LSU started to get over the hump!!

I remember the fans even stormed the field when LSU beat TN!!
