Please tell me you are not implying that JJ somehow > JR.
If you were an unintelligent douche, I could see how those two statements could mean the same thing.

No actually, JJ was better at similar level of development. The stats have been posted probably 10 times or more TD, but you haters refuse to believe your own eyes.

Im not a hater.
Once again though, could you help me understand how JJ's awesome personal stats that you guys are in love over just dont coincide with our offenses putrid overall stats.

why does this always come up from one of you guys?
it ALWAYS does in these threads.
someone has to make a comment like:
"your in love with jefferson!"
(notice the word your is used wrong too)

Tigr, when an offense isn't hitting on all cylinders it usuall affects qb ratings negatively.
Don't you find it odd he has really good rating with less offensive support than you've seen in a long, long while?
I mean he's posted these stats while running for his life most of the season and all you hear is how much he sucks.
Compared to last year, this O-line gives him no run support, no protection and he's led LSU to better record and we've been close to the top couple of teams in the SEC/Nation.
If you look at this objectively, it's pretty amazing he's not shellshocked like Lee and says a lot about his character.

not for 2011 if he returns. should punch his card now...he wont be able to improve on this pre-draft stock currently where's he at. maybe he'll pull a Lafell but end up going to the draft

Roaad,
the check with me system was used to take pressure off JJ until he got more comfortable with calling his own checks. there was an advocate article in late october that said almost precisely that. I'm too lazy to look it up and link it.
I don't think they did much "hot" stuff with him early in the year. I do remember him throwing a hot vs. ole miss for a big drive sustaining completion though. he saw it late, got crushed, and threw it high, but it was a catchable ball for a big play. those are the type of plays I'm talking about that make me think he's progressed. I don't think he makes that play in game 3 (they probably didn't put him position to attempt it then). This time next year, he'll see it quicker and it'll be routine.
I just think somewhere along the way a light went on for him, maybe 4 or 5 games into the season, and he realized that there is a hell of a lot more to college quarterbacking than calling a play in the huddle and throwing to the open guy. The fact that we don't do as much CWM stuff tells me he saw a serious hole in his game and worked hard to fix it. Maybe I'm off base, but that is what it looked like to me.

his rating would be much worse if he didnt eat the ball for 15 yd losses when he could throw it away. Taking stupid sacks or running like a compass on a magnetic field doesn't hurt his efficiency

The following QB's led teams to higher total offense numbers than JJ
McCoy
Pryor
Garcia
Mallett
Snead
Tebow
Todd
Landry
Forcier
Oh hell, I'm not gonna list all 107 of them.

you make a good point LSUsaint.
slow delivery + slow internal clock = eat it instead of throw away.
next year if his release is sped up and/or his internal clock gets better he could be better QB but have a worse rating.

I saw another write where Miles thought Meerkat was disrupting/confusing O rythm and keep to minimum. Not sure if it was quoted or inside info.
