and performance relative to scoring and defense, is mind boggling to me!?!? What’s the deal? Is it WW, the players, COVID....what??

This is how almost every college team is who are subject to a couple of one and done players on a regular basis. There are very few solid programs anymore, when you accelerate the turnover you get teams that look like they have ADD.

They're just kids. They either come out feeling themselves and kick arse or they get defeated and get lazy and coast. It happens in football sometimes. Leadership and maturity issues. A bit more to it than that but well leave it there.

This is what happens when a talented team lacks basketball IQ. When they get punched in the mouth, they don’t find ways to win, instead they lean on their personal talents. Talent is streaky though. Team clicks or it doesn’t. When it does click, look out, they can beat just about anyone. When it doesn’t click, they start panicking, shot selection deteriorates, they miss critical shots and they get down on themselves - then the defense disappears.

Every single time this team makes it into the top 25 they lose the next game. Pretty consistent.
