I don't disagree completely. I do think the program has taken a step back, even with the good recruiting classes. Crowton should be replaced in my opinion.

YES...Crowton is the biggest problem right now. Though I wouldn't mind seeing Miles go with him

The coach knows what he's doing? Granted the WAC is not the SEC but..... the guy can coach.

I know.... I know..... Crowton should've been gone last year. And yes...... I completely agree. Look up 3 lines.

housedaddy you are right on. We are going the wrong way and if we don't get it fixed soon it will continue to get ugly.

Housedaddy,

I respect your original post and you are dead on. I laugh at the thought of thinking how JJ winces and looks confused on plays called in or plays that do not work, whereas the Boise QB looks like Drew Brees out there.

Same with the coaches....Totally amazing

That coach and QB with our team and we rule!!!

Les Miles is a total joke...He let our team hang on a thread...AGAIN!!!!!!

Anyone who thinks he is what we need is a total lunatic and I would not want them in my corporation as it would fail. I want strong people running my company, same like I want for a program like LSU.

The comments of Crowton just wanting to get out of there and Miles saying the problem with the offense the second half was the slants that UNC were hitting on????????? Well, that does not make sense but at least have more of a press coverage with the CB and either drop the DE or OLB in the slot.

Sure, but VT only had 4 returning starters on D. Some likely had playing time last year, but so did some of the UNC players.

Les it that you!!!!

You, dude, are weak with that kind of a comparison. I don't care who may have played last year. UNC had a shite load of starters out and VT was at full strength.

You guys amaze me............

Do you all remember why we went to Iraq? I will never forget our towers tumbling down. You people forget about our coaches bonehead calls and non agression within hours.

You are weak to say that Boise is not well coached for 2 star players.

I am a Boise Fan but an LSU Tiger first. Open your eyes a little! I guess I am anti LES Miles because I expect a better product for 4 million a season. If you think our program is in as good a shape as the program Miles inherited your just ignorant. This program has slipped, discipline has slipped, I am tired of firing and rehiring new assistants every other year, fix the real problem. How is Boise winning? We have better athletes? Come on geniuses?

I am not saying Boise could come in here and win but it is kind of fun to watch a team with inferior athletes band together overcome adversity and play together. I take that back I spent a couple grand watching UNC do that to us last week, that was not fun to watch. I threw up in my mouth watching the replay tonight.

You go daddy. There are a ton of us out here that feel just like you. If we make enough noise miles will be gone and we can hope that the new hire will get the program back on track. What we have now is getting us no where.

Last year we had 86 penalties for 633 yards (48.7 yds/gm). They had 87 penalties for 782 yards (55.9 yds/gm).

Last year we had 14 turnovers. Last year they had 14 turnovers.

So, the undisciplined, out of control Mad Hatters actually did better against SEC teams, and SEC refs than the media darling Smurfs did under the stern eye of the next savior of our football program, while playing against schools that we schedule as our cupcakes? MOT, how dare you ruin this lovefest with facts!!

...so you think the decision on Miles' employment at LSU will be based on how much "noise" YOU make on a message board??

Are you the same guy last year who said "it's my job" to get Miles fired by what he posts here?

Look up the term "delusions of grandeur."

Study it carefully.

Then ... try to get SOME semblance of a life.

Our glaring weak link right now is upped play from our QB. We've got to get the ball to our top tier receiving corps. Speed kills. Let's use it.

I disagree. Did you see the speed and athleticism of the Boise defensive line? The entire team displays great quickness; I do agree that they are better coached than us.

This I agree with, penalties aside.

The more I watch us play we are playing for the highlight reels. We are playing for the future NFL $ and not for the guy standing next to them

There is absolutely no basis for this statement.

Yeah, I thought the Refs did a real good job of ignoring all the holding by VT and keeping them in the game.

You must be a glutton for punishment. Most of us dummies have enough sense not to spend a couple of grands to watch an inferior product on the field. Then on top of it all, watch the rerun of that inferior product. Now, that is what I call a real GENIUS.

Good points sOtiger and I'm not giving them to much credit I just respect what Peterson has done with that Program since taking over. He has taken a program that has been good for quiet a while now and made it even better than his predecessors. In my personal opinion I think he is a much better coach than Hawkins and Dirk Koetter were.

It's amazing how some people on this Rant insist that Saban should get the credit for the success Miles has had at LSU, but, at the same time, are praising Petersen for being such a great coach, since taking over from Dan Hawkins.

Why are so hung up on "LSU has great talent, but doesn't win convincingly, so it must be the coaching". I've not seen much to believe over the last 2 years that LSU has great talent, certainly our QB and RB talent appears very subpar. Somebody prove why everyone on this rant should believe the "party-line" that LSU always has great talent. Maybe the coaching is there, the talent is not.

If Miles stays here another 2 years what talent pool we have had will disappear, regardless of what you think of the talent now.
