I will say that I saw greater effort, and they were able to stop Florida every now and then. Sage Ryan made a great play on the fourth down late in the game. Some of the young guys like Toviano and Yaites did well, but you could see that they are not physically ready. Until the level of talent improves, we will struggle on defense.

No one expected them to shut down any SEC offense, but getting better should not have been out of the question.

The line on the right side was getting knocked back several yards. And the edge was not set ever. They did take 35 out after not setting the edge about five times. They probably are not coached to set the edge. No idea

Biggest problem with D seems to be inability to shed blocks. So many runs last night where we had 3-4 guys right there with the RB and the guy just blew past all of them. Secondary wasn't great but don't see it as the weakest link.

I am sure BK will make having a credible defense an off season priority.
