The Dee Anderson incompletion/interception

For whatever reason, this play drives me crazy. Ball thrown to Anderson which clearly hits the ground. Anderson flips it up and it is caught by an A&M defender. Refs allow the play to continue I'm assuming because they figured, "we'd rather err on the side of being incorrect and let the replay correct it at this crucial point in the game"
That's why it is so mind-boggling to me that the Sternberger fumble was ruled incomplete so quickly. To anyone watching, it appeared like a catch and fumble. Why wouldn't the same rules apply and just let the play run out and then review it?

FWIW, I hate this line of thinking from referees. They just assume the perfect video angle will be there to help them decide, but sometimes it's not and you have to let a crap play stand.

Those are the plays where you see the subtle bias that can influence games. Same goes for holding. A ref can turn a game anytime he chooses by calling holding because it's occurring on nearly every play.

They were more concerned about stopping the clock than getting the call right.

I am waiting for a QB to injured for the year after trying to run down an interception going the other way on a play that was obviously an incomplete pass. The ruling on the field carries so much weight that this line of thinking can be dangerous.

NFL replay overturns 66% of their calls, which is unreal. Can only imagine what the stats are for college football. The NHL seems to be the best in oversight but the game is a bit simpler
