That's correct. But if lessons aren't learned, then we might as well watch lawn bowling. To think this is all Alleva could muster up is bewildering - and frightening.

If the season tanks badly, then all eyes on Alleva. I hold him mostly responsible for 1) keeping Miles waaaay longer than he should have and 2) botching this hire when he had Herman at arm's length.

im sorry facts outweigh your opinions

he inherited a good program no doubt but you donr know shite about cfb of you give credit to previous coach 3 years later.

if lsu's program was so set how did the greates coach of our generation lose 3 games in year 5?

quote:

Do you honestly think Miles could take a 3-8 team and turn it into an NC?

he took a program with 1 winning season from 1989-2001 and had them winning 8&9 games.

He was handed the keys to the kingdom and squandered it.

squandered?

youre fricking crazy

Les Miles tenure

#1 win% in lsu history
#1 ooc win % in lsu history
#7 win % in sec history
#1 ooc win % in sec history
during his his tenure no program beat more ranked teams
during his tenure no program was ranked in the top 25 more weeks
Miles has a many top 5 finishes as Mac, saban, and dietzel combined.
miles has as many top 10 finishes as the previous 40 years combined.

only someone that's completely ignorant of lsu history would call Miles' tenure squandering.

out of work and 63. the average age of a p5 coach is 44. in the last decade 1 coach older than 63 was hired at a p5 program and it was snyder.

in the 1st half sure.

Do you think we played them close?

in the 2nd half

Their starting OL was on the bench with no pads on.

utter bullshite

at no time did they do that.

it was 17-10 after our 1st drive of the 3rd quarter.

they were up 34-10 for all of 5 minutes of game time and we went for 19 unanswered after that.

I never believed that nonsense. Considering many coaches have failed at LSU. I do believe that LSU is never more than 2-3 years from having a good team, thanks to the recruiting base.

Having a good recruiting base is OK.....if you can get the recruits to come to your school....unfortunately...a lot of guys are looking elsewhere.....

miles inherited more talent than O but o has plenty of talent to not have the worst loss in the history of lsu vs msu.

How do you quantify that? Number of draft picks off the 05 team compared to what this year's will be. Because according to recruiting rankings, Miles inherited a team that averaged a #9 ranking. O inherited a team that averaged a #5 recruiting ranking.

I know rankings arent exact, but they do show a correlation. The teams usually playing for titles have numerous top 10 classes. Even that note Dame team from 2012 had two top 5 classes.

This has got to be a troll thread right?

Please tell me you don't believe this shite.

If it's not a troll thread, and you really believe this...

Allow me to retort.

People like you are fukcing stupid. All I heard was how LSU is bigger than one man, etc, etc. The game had passed Miles by, he was dragging LSU down.

Ok, maybe so. I'm fine with Miles being gone.

Let's see what's said at the end of the season.

Coach 0 aint beating anytime that's better than .500. That's proven.

Rebuild? 5th year senior qb, and heisman candidate rb.

There are teams with lesser talent that will have better records than lsu. Again.

LSU hired a clown. A literal clown that the nation is mocking to coach the largest money making business in the state.

What is our record the last 5 years?

to be fair, after the magical 2011 season (except for 1/9/12), we were good in 2012 (6-2 SEC, 5-1 against the West).

The decline really was from 2013-16, when Les went 15-11 SEC (10-10 against the West).

You actually think Miles made LSU worse or didn't live up to its full potential because 5 Nattys aren't hanging on the wall.

Well prepare thy anus mutherfrickers!

Your boy Coach 0 is about to show you frick tards what running a program into the ground is gonna look like.

Kinda like Saturday night, over and over and over and over.

Yes, Miles is at fault but more so is the A.D. department. The LSU program should have never come to the point where they hired a D-line coach to be the HC. #lsujokeofd1football
